Image: Schaefer: Malignaggi will not fight Kell Brook in the UKBy William Mackay: Just in case undefeated Kell Brook (27-0, 18 KO’s) and his promoter Eddie Hearn from Matchroom Sport were hoping that newly crowned WBA World welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi (31-4, 7 KO’s) would be traveling to fight Brook in the UK, they can forget all about that happening because Malignaggi’s promoter Richard Schaefer told ESPN writer Dan Rafael that isn’t going to happen.

Why doesn’t Brook agree to fight Alexander in August?

Image: Why doesn't Brook agree to fight Alexander in August?By Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten welterweight contender Kell Brook (27-0, 18 KO’s) supposedly was finally interested in going after a big name for his next fight after facing mostly 2nd tier opposition during the previous 8 years of his pro career. Former IBF/WBC light welterweight champion Devon Alexander (27-1, 18 KO’s) showed interest in fighting Brook on August 18th, but Brook and his promoter couldn’t agree to that. Why not? What’s the hold up? Are they looking for another Matthew Hatton level fighter for Brook to shine against?

Brook could have fought Devon Alexander, but wanted him to come to the UK in July

Image: Brook could have fought Devon Alexander, but wanted him to come to the UK in JulyBy Scott Gilfoid: Dan Rafael is reporting that Kell Brook and his team couldn’t agree on a fight against former IBF/WBC light welterweight champion Devon Alexander, who they wanted to come to the UK to fight in Brook’s venue on July 7th. That would never work, of course, because Alexander just finished fighting on February 25th, and by the time they started talking with Brook’s people for a fight, there wasn’t enough time to adequately train for a fight in July.

Kell Brook’s next opponent should be Devon Alexander

Image: Kell Brook’s next opponent should be Devon AlexanderBy Dominic Sauboorah: Kell Brook is proving to be a serious talent and this was proven after his comprehensive win over former European welterweight champion Matthew Hatton, who was successful in taking the WBC super-welterweight champion, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, the distance. Despite this though Brook hasn’t fought anyone that is of a world class stature which is why I believe I fight against Devon Alexander would be perfect.

When is Kell Brook going to fight someone with a pulse?

Image: When is Kell Brook going to fight someone with a pulse?By Scott Gilfoid: When I undefeated Kell Brook (27-0, 18 KO’s) going to finally fight someone that’s actually any good? I’m tired of seeing Brook fighting soft 2nd and 3rd tier opposition over and over again while his fans flap their gums about how great this guy is. If he’s great, why isn’t he fighting the best in the division, huh? Why are guys like Matthew Hatton, 40-year-old Lovemore N’dou, Rafal Jackiewicz and Luiz Galarza dug up to be put in with Brook? What’s the problem? Is a confidence thing?
