Image: Roach wanted Pacquiao to fight Danny Garcia to show Khan what he could do his conquerorBy William Mackay: Amir Khan’s trainer Freddie Roach revealed yesterday that he was hoping to match Manny Pacquiao up against WBA/WBC light welterweight champion Danny Garcia to show Khan how good Pacquiao would do against the same guy that beat him. Roach obviously not happy at being let go by Khan as a trainer, seemed to be in the mood score points against him in this interview.

Speaking with writer Chris Robinson of examiner.com Roach said “I wanted him [Pacquiao] to fight the guy Garcia, Danny Garcia. I wanted that fight because Amir Khan says that I don’t teach defense to him and Manny Pacquiao. Why did he compare himself to Manny Pacquiao?…Let’s see what Manny does with your last opponent. Manny wouldn’t lose a round.”
