By William Mackay: Boxing fans had such his expectations for WBA/WBC light welterweight champion Danny Garcia (24-0, 15 KO’s) after he annihilated Amir Khan on July 14th of this month in Las Vegas, Nevada. Some fans were hoping that the 24-year-old Garcia would agree to fight Khan in a rematch in December and put him out of his misery once and for all.

Also on the card will be WBA World welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi against an opponent still to be named, and unbeaten middleweight contender Peter Quillin vs. TBA.

By William Mackay: The Amir Khan vs. Danny Garcia fight was a dismal failure in the box office, according to Dan Rafael. Only 3,147 tickets were sold in grand total, and 3,364 tickets were given away by the Mandalay Bay Resorts & Casino where the fight took place. In other words, more than half of the people who showed up to watch the fight were fans who had tickets given to them.
Is Amir Khan Playing The Blame Game?

However, those three do not really mean much if you do not have a chin that goes with them. If Maidana can win that fight, he told esnewsreporting.com that he’d like to fight WBA/WBC light welterweight champion Danny Garcia if he can get the fight.

By William Mackay: Trainer/HBO boxing analyst Emanuel Steward doesn’t like the way that former IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (26-3, 18 KO’s) has been hurt so many times in such a short period of time in his still young career, and Steward believes that Khan needs to take a nice break to let himself recover from all the punishment he’s taken in his fights.
