By Eric Thomas: WBO middleweight champion Peter Quillin (28-0, 20 KO’s) will be looking to put in a solid performance against #5 WBC, #14 WBO Fernando Guerrero (25-1, 19 KO’s) on the undercard of the Danny Garcia – Zab Judah fight on February 9th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Quillin, 29, won the WBO middleweight title in his last fight against WBO champion Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam last October by a 12 round decision. Quillin showed some positives in that fight in terms of his huge power as he was able to knock N’Dam down six times in the fight. Each time N’Dam would start making a comeback, Quillin would drop him. He had N’Dam down in the 4th, 6th and 12th rounds.

By Dan Ambrose: It’s interesting to see all the casual boxing fans chiming in on their thoughts about the February 9th fight between WBC/WBA light welterweight champion Danny Garcia (25-0, 16 KO’s) and 35-year-old former two division world champion Zab Judah (42-7, 29 KO’s) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The casual boxing fans are giving Judah a great chance of beating the 24-year-old Garcia.
By Scott Gilfoid: It’s so sad when fighters don’t realize when they’ve been knocked out and foolishly blame the referee when they get spanked. Amir Khan still doesn’t seem to realize how bad off he was when he got destroyed by WBC light welterweight champion Danny Garcia last July in a 4th round TKO. Khan was knocked down once in the 3rd round and twice more in the 4th before the referee mercifully saved Khan from taking even more punishment by stopping the fight.
By William Mackay: WBA/WBC light welterweight champion Danny Garcia (25-0, 16 KO’s) was a little bit in shock in facing Amir Khan last July in his 4th round TKO victory over him in Las Vegas, Nevada. Garcia said he wasn’t expecting the kind of hand speed that Khan possessed in that fight and that’s why he was getting hit so often by Khan in the first couple of rounds. It wasn’t until Garcia adjusted to Khan’s speed that he was finally able to start landing his own shots.

The time is almost at hand. The veterans are winding down the grays are beginning to show. Let the torch passing ceremony begin. We have been dazzled for years by the likes of Floyd Mayweather Jr., Manny Pacquiao, Sugar Shane Mosley, Bernard Hopkins, Juan Manuel Marquez, Miguel Cotto & Sergio Martinez, just to name a few. We have watched them from their early days and we knew they had what it took to be at the pinnacle of the sport. Each of these men has had his day in the sun. Some are still enjoying unrivaled success in the ring at such a late stage in their careers.

With that said, I think Judah is going to be really out of his league on February 9th in his fight against WBA/WBC light welterweight champion Danny Garcia (24-0, 16 KO’s ) on HBO at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, and I can’t see it going very well at all for Judah.
