Deontay Wilder: Audley has already admitted that I dropped him sparring; he didn’t drop me

wilder23By Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten heavyweight contender Deontay Wilder (27-0, 27 KO’s) spoke up to address the silly rumors floating around the internet about Audley Harrison (31-6, 23 KO’s) having dropped him while Deontay was helping the 41-year-old Audley out with sparring to get him ready for his fight with David Price last year.

Wilder said to RingTV “A lot of people spread rumors…I know and he knows what really happened…He has already put out there that I dropped him.”

So there it is once again. Audley himself addressed the rumor on his twitter recently, saying that he hadn’t knocked Deontay down in sparring, and the opposite had happened with him getting knocked down.

Don’t be surprised if Audley KO’s Wilder

wilder3By Adam Mccoy: Out of the eight articles I’ve put up on this site at least half of them are about unbeaten heavyweight Deontay Wilder (27-0, 27 KO’s). I just can’t help myself when the Wilder debate starts. Deontay Wilder in a neutrals eyes is a machine. If you tell a neutral with not a great deal of interest in boxing that there is guy out there that has knocked out everyone hes ever faced people will be amazed.

It’s a great record and a great achievement and it may yet continue for a while longer. But then you look at it from a boxing fans view someone who knows about the sport and how the match making system works and suddenly Deontay Wilder stands with a question mark above his head.

Deontay Wilder looking to win new fans with KO of Audley Harrison on April 27th

wilder33By Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten American heavyweight Deontay Wilder (27-0, 27 KO’s) is hoping to win over a new crop of fans on April 27th in his fight against former 2000 Olympic gold medalist Audley Harrison (31-6, 23 KO’s) in their scheduled 10 round fight at the Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield, Yorkshire, United Kingdom.

Wilder wants a highlight reel KO of Audley so that he can catch the imagination of boxing fans and show the difference between him and other heavyweights that have recently knocked Audley out in David Price and David Haye.

Wilder said to Sky Sports: “I don’t get no sleep, I don’t watch no TV. I don’t keep up with other fighters. I’m always working on my craft. In the beginning I was definitely a wild guy trying to get in tune with the heavyweight division, trying to please the crowd, but now I’m a much more polished fighter and much more of a calm fighter.

Audley says he’s going into the lockdown zone for Deontay Wilder fight

harrison3323By Scott Gilfoid: British heavyweight Audley Harrison (31-6, 23 KO’s) mentioned that he’s now officially going into the “lockdown” mode for his upcoming April 27th fight against knockout artist Deontay Wilder (27-0, 27 KO’s) at the Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield, Yorkshire, United Kingdom.

Audley said on his social media site: “Okay folks. Time to lockdown and go into the zone.”

Okay, if I was to decipher that blather I think what Audley is saying is he’s going to start working out really hard and concentrating with his full mental powers on the fight with Deontay so he doesn’t screw up again and get knocked out in the first three rounds like he did against David Price and David Haye.

Showtime won’t televise Wilder-Harrison

wilder54By Scott Gilfoid: American boxing fans won’t get the opportunity to see the April 27th fight between American heavyweight contender Deontay Wilder (27-0, 27 KO’s) and Audley Harrison (31-6, 23 KO’s) on Showtime because they’re only going to be showing highlights of the fight, according to Dan Rafael.

This has got to hurt the U.S. boxing fans that were hoping to see the fight in full because it would give the American boxing fans a glimpse of what could be a future heavyweight champion in Deontay Wilder. Just getting to see highlights isn’t good enough for the U.S fans because they want to see the entire fight.

The reason why the Wilder-Audley fight won’t be shown in it’s entirety is because Showtime’s boxing telecast that night will start off with the Zab Judah vs. Danny Garcia and Peter Quillin vs. Fernando Guerrero fights at the Barclays Center in Brookly, New York.

wilder23By Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten heavyweight talent Deontay Wilder (27-0, 27 KO’s) says he’s hungry to accomplish a lot in the heavyweight division and snatch his first world title. Standing in the way of the 6’7” Wilder from accomplishing his goals is the 6’6” British heavyweight Audley Harrison (31-6, 23 KO’s) and Wilder intends on knocking him out of the way on April 27th in their fight at the Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield, Yorkshire, United Kingdom.

Wilder said to Sky Sports “I’m a starving lion that’s ready to eat. On April 27 in Sheffield, England my next meal will be served; on the menu: Audley Harrison…Bon appetite…I can’t wait to show you guys why I am the light and the way for this dark division.”

Deontay Wilder traveling to the UK to face Audley Harrison on April 27th

wilder55By Scott Gilfoid: In his step up fight unbeaten American heavyweight Deontay Wilder (27-0, 27 KO’s) is showing he means business by traveling to the UK on April 27th to face former 2000 super heavyweight Olympic gold medalist from Britain Audley Harrison (31-6, 23 KO’s) at the Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield, Yorkshire.

The fact that the 27-year-old Wilder is willing to travel to the 6’6” Harrison’s neck of the woods tells you how much self-belief Wilder has because not too many fighters would be willing to do that.

Wilder is also a former Olympic heavyweight, who captured a bronze medal in the 2008 Olympics despite having a little over 20 amateur fights going into the Olympics when he entered the competition.

Deontay’s trainer: Wilder likes fighting southpaws

wilder213By Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten heavyweight Deontay Wilder (27-0, 27 KO’s) really enjoys fighting southpaws, according to his trainer Jay Deas. Wilder does especially good against left handed fighters, not that he does bad against right-handed fighters.

Wilder is an unbeaten talent, and there hasn’t been anyone good enough to test him. On April 27th, Wilder will be facing the 6’6” southpaw Audley Harrison (31-6, 23 KO’s) at the Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield, Yorkshire, United Kingdom.

Deas said to the Tuscaloosanews.com “Deontay likes fighting southpaws. Most guys don’t. Deontay does. He’s very confident, very confident going into this fight.

Wilder-Harrison: If 5 weeks isn’t enough for Audley to get ready then he’s out of luck

wilder890By Scott Gilfoid: British heavyweight Audley Harrison (31-6, 23 KO’s) and American knockout artist Deontay Wilder will be battling on April 27th in the war of the giants at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield.

Wilder stands 6’7”, while Harrison is just a tad shorter at 6’6”. Both guys have huge knockout power, but Wilder is level above with his right hand KO power. Harrison is a southpaw, and pretty much can only punch hard with his left hand when he loads up on it with everything he’s got.

When Harrison agreed to take the fight he made it a point to let his loyal twitter fans know that he only has 5 weeks to prepare for the fight, as if Wilder has any more time than him to prepare.

It’s acceptable for Deontay Wilder to fight Audley Harrison but not David Price?

wilder45By Dominic Sauboorah: Unbeaten heavyweight Deontay Wilder will be FINALLY stepping up in class (if you want to call it that) against Audley Harrison at Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield. The fight has been scheduled for 10 rounds and will be the co-feature bout for the fight between Amir Khan and Julio Diaz.

I do think this is a good test for the unbeaten American as Harrison is a former European champion and world title challenger. What baffles me however is the fact that a certain someone kept yapping on and criticizing David Price for fighting Harrison, yet what makes it any different for Wilder?
