By Chris Williams: Bob Arum of Top Rank will probably move ahead and match his fighters WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (45-0-1, 31 KO’s) and Antonio Margarito (38-8, 27 KO’s) up against each other next April or May in order to maximize profit for his guys. Chavez Jr. would have an even bigger weight advantage over Margarito than he did against Marco Antonio Rubio last Saturday night and that should be enough for Chavez Jr. to get a fairly easy win.

Chavez Jr: I’ll fight whoever my promoter tells me to; Margarito likely next opponent
By Dan Ambrose: WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (45-0-1, 31 KO’s) had his usual excuse about why he couldn’t fight Sergio Martinez next after Chavez Jr’s 12 round unanimous decision win over Marco Antonio Rubio on Saturday night, saying according to Dan Rafael “If my promoter says go, let’s go…Whatever my promoter wants, whoever they put in front of me, I will fight.”
Arum to match Chavez Jr. against Antonio Margarito if he can beat Rubio on Saturday
By Dan Ambrose: WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (44-0-1, 31 KO’s) will be facing former IBF/WBO welterweight champion Antonio Margarito (38-8, 27 KO’s) in 2012 if Chavez Jr. can beat challenger Marco Antonio Rubio (53-5-1, 46 KO’s) on Saturday night at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
Cotto needs to give Margarito a rematch
By Dan Ambrose: Due to the controversy of the New York doctor stopping the fight just when Antonio Margarito was starting to take command of the fight, I think WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto needs to do the right thing and give Margarito a rematch so the two fighters can settle the matter once and for all. They’ve had two fights now with each guy winning one battle.

Atlas: Cotto is still damaged goods
By Dan Ambrose: Before World Boxing Association (WBA) junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (37-2, 30 KO’s) defeated Antonio Margarito earlier this month by a 10th round doctor’s stoppage, EPSN analyst and trainer Teddy Atlas believed that the 31-year old Cotto was damaged goods from the beatings he took in his loss to Margarito in 2008 and his beat down against Manny Pacquiao in 2009.

Smoger: Margarito was turning the fight around on Cotto when it was stopped
By Dan Ambrose: Referee Steve Smoger wished that Antonio Margarito had been allowed to come out for the 10th round in his recent loss to WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto. Smoger said he wanted to let him, but the ringside doctor stepped in and halted the fight due to Margarito’s rapidly closing right eye.
Is it time for Miguel Cotto to take on a dangerous contender?
By Gerardo Granados: Miguel Cotto is a three division champion and has engaged against fifteen champions during his long boxing career, he is trully skilled but his size is not the ideal for the middleweight division.
