By Allan Fox: 38-year-old Anthony Mundine (46-5, 27 KO’s) is looking to put himself in position to get a big money fight against WBA junior middleweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. or Saul “Canelo” Alvarez in 2015, by facing interim WBA junior middleweight champion Erislandy Lara (19-1-2, 12 KO’s) in his next fight. Mundine, #4 WBA, said last night that he’ll be making an offer to the Cuban Lara to get him in the ring as soon as possible.
Mundine said: “@Laraboxing Our offer will come soon! So take it. You come to Aussie school for a lesson. Cool out! We will see soon when we in the square circle! I ain’t gonna talk bout it but be about it. I’ll give something you never seen before! An Aboriginal lesson in boxing! Just tell your promoters to get in touch and make a deal.”
