Mundine, #4 WBA, said last night that he’ll be making an offer to the Cuban Lara to get him in the ring as soon as possible.
Mundine said: “@Laraboxing Our offer will come soon! So take it. You come to Aussie school for a lesson. Cool out! We will see soon when we in the square circle! I ain’t gonna talk bout it but be about it. I’ll give something you never seen before! An Aboriginal lesson in boxing! Just tell your promoters to get in touch and make a deal.”
By Allan Fox: Former WBA super middleweight champion Anthony Mundine (45-5, 27 KO’s) has a stay busy fight on Wednesday night against little known Gunnar Jackson (18-4-3, 6 KO’s) at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Boondall, Queensland, Australia. Mundine, 38, wants to get a fight against WBA interim light middleweight champion Erislandy Lara, but a fight like that isn’t easy to come by right now. It’s possible that Mundine can make that fight at some point in 2014.

The 38-year-old Mundine was supposed to fight welterweight Carson Jones, but he came down with the flu and had to pull out of the fight.
