By Cameron Gillon: WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward is hoping to be back in the ring early 2015, the unbeaten american super middleweight is still involved in a long battle lawsuit with promoter Dan Goosen and it doesn’t look like that’s going to end anytime soon.
It’s a big shame that Ward has this problem, the guy has a lot of talent and would be one of the hot runners to take over Floyd Mayweather Jr’s spot as the pound for pound king when he retires, he could still do that but needs to get active, Ward won the super six tournament in 2011 and held the WBC, WBA and Ring and Lineal super middleweight titles and hasn’t lost any of them but due to being inactive he was stripped off the WBC title and refused to have the champion emeritus status.
