Spence vs Crawford is it really a 50 / 50 fight?

By Daniel Echevarria: The Super Bowl of boxing is finally upon us, and two great fighters are finally going to share the squared circle in what we all hope will be a classic Texas vs. Nebraska.

The deep pride of Texans goes way back, and it is totally evident when you visit the state where you will see Giant flags everywhere blowing in the wind. When it comes to boxing, even the owner of the Dallas Cowboys has stepped in to support their fellow Texan Errol “The Truth “Spence by showcasing some of his fights in his Large Arena.

I love the fact that Texas is so “Gung Ho” and unconditionally excited for their fighter, and it reminds me of hoe the philopenas are were always behind Manny Pacquiao. I have watched countless videos online, all saying that Errol Spence is just going to Win hands down and Terrence “Bud” Crawford doesn’t stand a chance HuH do Spence fans understand who Spence is up against?

I totally understand Texas pride and team pride altogether, but I believe you should still respect the opponent or the other team because you never know what can happen. Let me be totally clear by saying Errol Spence is definitely a Good and dangerous fighter who has made achievements in the sport of boxing and is definitely a problem for any fighter in his division.

Errol Spence had zero belts, but now he has attained three out of the four which Crawford is currently holding. In my opinion, I think Spence fans have gone overboard by puffing this man up and equally puffing up casual fans to believe that Errol Spence is somehow this unstoppable force that Terrence Crawford doesn’t stand a chance against, no matter what his achievements are.

As a Boxing fan NOT from Texas, it allows me to see more clearly and recognize that the achievements of Errol Spence “pale” in comparison to Terrence “Bud” Crawford. Let’s be honest here. The “Truth” is Spence is up against a guy who is a 3x Undefeated, Undisputed Switch Hitting (Orthodox / Southpaw) multi-divisional World Champion while Spence is currently campaigning in just ONE division, so is this really 50 / 50?

I encourage every Spence fan to take this fight extremely serious because Errol Spence has NEVER faced an opponent like this, especially with this level of ring IQ mixed with athleticism. I wish Errol would have fought and defeated Keith Thurman and Manny Pacquiao because they both have high ring IQ and athleticism, which would have prepared him better for Crawford than his last opponent Yordenis UGAS.

Once again, to all the Spence fans, I hope you will recognize and understand that Crawford is not coming just to lay down in this fight when he is an UNDEFEATED 3X World Champion who has fought many different styles and weights against Professional boxers and two teams have already quit (Khan and Porter) when fighting him.

Lastly, my opinion is that Terrence Crawford will win by points because I believe the fight goes all 12 and I clearly remember towards the end of Floyd Mayweather’s career, he wasn’t knocking guys out anymore, so he just made an adjustment in his game and focused on winning at least seven rounds but may the best man win because BOTH are equally deserving and BOTH have made it this far.
