By Dan Ambrose: Tyson Fury will be without his famous promoter Bob Arum when he defends his WBC heavyweight title against Dillian Whyte in front of 94,000 fans at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

Arum revealed that he’s recovering from “mild COVID-19 symptoms, and won’t be attending the fight live to watch his fighter Fury (31-0-1, 22 KOs) battle the dangerous contender Whyte (28-2, 19 KOs).

Fury has got his work cut out for him in this fight, facing arguably the most complete fighter since his battle againt Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.

Unlike Fury’s last opponent Deontay Wilder, Dillian can punch as well as box, and he’s got excellent cardio, so he’s not going to wear down after three or four rounds.

Whyte also has an excellent chin, and he’s carrying enough weight to where he won’t wear down from the nonstop leaning from Fury if he chooses to use that tactic against him.

Fury did a lot of leaning on the toothpick-legged Wilder in their three fights, and it worked well to wear him down.

Against Whyte, Fury will need to use another tactic to win because the mauling that he used as his #1 tool in his arsenal to beat Wilder probably be ineffective.

“I think it’ll be a bit of a shutout in the first couple of rounds. Tyson Fury, he won’t want to touch Dillian Whyte, and then I think at some stage, he’s going to have to stand there,” said Tony Bellew to iFL TV about Saturday’s Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte fight.

“When he does stand there, Tyson Fury is going to have to get up off the floor to defeat Dillian Whyte, in my opinion. Dillian Whyte will have Tyson Fury down. The big question is can he keep him there, and I’m not sure he can.

“Yes, because he knew what he was going in with,” said Bellew when asked if Whyte is more dangeorus for Fury than when Tyson was going into his rematch with Deontay Wilder in February 2020.

“When you have history, you know what each other is getting into, so he knows. If you’re asking me is Dillian Whyte a more dangerous puncher than Deontay Wilder, absolutely not, no.

“But is it a more dangerous fight, yes, because he [Whyte] brings a different set of tools to the table. He brings a different set of attributes, something that Tyson Fury hasn’t had to deal with in the professoional ranks yet.
