Alen Babic vowing to massacre Eric Molina on Saturday

By Charles Brun: Alen Babic is saying that he’s going to “massacre” former two-time heavyweight world title challenger Eric Molina this Saturday, October 30th, in their fight on DAZN at the O2  Arena in London, England.

Babic could be walking into a trap if he comes out swinging for the fences on Saturday night, as he’ll be fighting Molina’s fight. Molina is bigger, stronger, and far more technical than the tiny 210-lb Babic.

The unbeaten Babic (8-0, 8 KOs) is one of Eddie Hearn’s fighters in his Matchroom Boxing stable. Babic, 30, has an entertaining style with good power for a small heavyweight at 210 lbs, but he may be over his head against the much larger and more experienced 6’6, 250+ lb Molina (28-7, 20 KOs).

Molina, 39, is getting up there in age, but he can still punch, and he’s got many years of experience against talented heavyweights that he can use to send Babic down to his first defeat.

BABIC WANTS TO MASSACRE MOLINA

“It’ll be a massacre,” predicts Babic to iFL TV about his fight this Saturday night against Molina. “I want to break my body for you. I’ll give you everything I have.  Tune in if you want to see the fight.

It’s not going to be a fight. An old school massacre. F**k, I want massacre, I don’t want fight. I don’t want technique.

“When someone worthy comes along and can take me deep, I’m going to box. For now, it’s just savage. I don’t want to box. I want a massacre. I can’t say the stuff I want to do to him,” said Babic.

It would be wiser for Babic to try and box Molina instead of going to war with him because he is very dangerous in the early rounds. Molina is like an old landmine buried in the ground for many years, seemingly harmless.  You think it’s safe until it blows up.

The best chance Molina has of winning this fight is if Babic plays to his strengths by trading power shots right off that bat, as the power game has been Eric’s bread & butter from day one.

MOLINA CALLS BABIC “RECKLESS”

“I’ve seen a couple of his fights. There’s nothing really to break down. The guy comes forward throwing reckless punches, and I think there’s a lot of opportunity in fighting him as far as the mistakes that he makes,” said Eric Molina to iFL TV on his match against Babic.

“I don’t think Alen knows any other way to fight but that. He’s shown that,” Molina said about Babic being a slugger. “In the heavyweight division, you’re going to need more than that. I’m bringing my experience and a solid game plan to execute,” said Molina.
