by Ingram Jones: Before this interview, I had a fair idea of how I was going to do my prediction video but then the phone rang and it was “Uncle” James Ali Bashir. It was a pretty good thing that he had rang because his comments about racism in boxing seemed to upset a few viewers and others were turned off that he was playing the race card. One particular tweeter commented that “Bashir is a bitter man, he was around the civil rights movement, racism isn’t in boxing, how can it be? Look at Mayweather & Pacquiao?”

Bashir a man who simply doesn’t mince his words, direct to the point alike Peter Fury another regular to BaylorIC TV. Boxing fans have grown tired of the soundbites, words for the camera and the showbusiness and want to hear the truth, what really is going on.

In a world of promoters selling you second hand cars or cars that don’t have a hope of making a few miles and telling you that they are “the best models ever created” dismissing the great models past with a long track record of consitency and great performances, people like Bashir and Peter need to speak straight words or the sport of boxing and its history will be made a mockery of.

I believe interviews are helpful for the viewer or the listener to make an informed decision before they decide to make a bet or make a decision on an upcoming bout, match, competition. Through the years I have tried to push the boundaries, ask the questions the fans want the answers to and down the years there have been some cracking responses, revelations about the negotations in the sport and unveiling of just how corrupt the sport can be.

In this interview you will hear Bashir not only give his views on the sport of boxing but drop plenty bombs of knowledge on the listener.

Bashir gives his thoughts on the upcoming fight with Cotto & Canelo, the return of David Haye and Roy Jones’ world title fight against Enzo Macarenelli.

Unusually in this particular interview, it was only as the interview was about come come to a close did suddenly it all open up. Bashir talking about Fury, Klitschko tactics and a promise come fight night.

Sugar Ray Robinson is considered the greatest pund for pound fighter of all time by many. Bashir takes me back into the history books to talk about one man, SRR refused to fight, point blank.

Bashir’s comments are sure to bring about reactions both positive and negative but on the 28th November Tyson Fury & Wladimir Klitschko will finally meet… and the talk will all be over. Will be crowned with a new champion or does Wladimir Klitschko retain the belts??
