brook5433By Allan Fox: For boxing fans wanting to see tonight’s exciting Brook v Gavin fight card, they can tune in to watch it on Sky Box Office. The start time is at 10:40 p.m. BST on May 30th. Where is the fight location? The fight will be taking place at the O2 Arena in London, England.

As I mentioned previously, fans can see it on Sky Sports in the UK. Unfortunately, it’s not being televised in the United States. The Brook-Gavin fight card can be ordered by your phone or online, whichever you prefer. You can also order the fight by your Sky remote.

The main event fight between Kell Brook (34-0, 23 KOs) and Frankie Gavin (22-1, 13 KOs) promises to be an exciting affair for as long as it lasts. I’m not sure if Gavin has the fire power to go the full 12 rounds with Brook, but nonetheless it should be exciting given the talent and technical skills that Gavin possesses. He’s got enough talent to give Brook a very hard fight, and there’s even a possibility of an upset, although it’s not likely.

Heavyweight Anthony Joshua (12-0, 12 KOs) will be in the ring defending his WBC International heavyweight title against Kevin “Kingpin” Johnson (29-6-1, 14 KOs) in a 10 round bout. Johnson has a great chin, and he’s noted for his ability to make it difficult for his opponents to land their shots. Joshua, 25, has never been beyond the 3rd round in any of his previous pro fights in his two-year career, and there’s a chance that he could gas out if he’s forced to go the full 10 rounds. Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn did well to make this a 10 round fight instead of a 12 round affair, because if Joshua does gas out, you don’t want him laboring for a full 12 rounds. At 248, Joshua has put on a lot of muscle in a short period of time, and his cardiovascular system might not be ready to carry that much weight for a full 12 round fight.

Kevin Mitchell (39-2, 29 KOs) gets a shot against WBC lightweight champion Jorge Linares (38-3, 25 KOs) in a fight that many fans see as a toss-up. No one really knows how Mitchell will respond in this fight because he’s fallen apart mentally when stepping it up a class in the past. You can never rule out him coming apart at the seams in a match-up like this one because Linares is a really good fighter, and Mitchell just does not do well against the quality guys. However, Mitchell has a nice six-right winning streak since his loss to Ricky Burns in 2012, and it could be that Mitchell has matured enough mentally to finally win a world title.

In what could be the most exciting fight of the night, #1 IBF Lee Selby (20-1, 8 KOs) will be attempting to win a world title in his fight against IBF featherweight champion Evgeny “El Ruso Mexicano” Gradovich (19-0-1, 9 KOs). This is really a tough match-up for both fighters. Gradovich has an excellent pressure style of fighting, but this is the kind of style that Selby has always done well against. Selby may be able to conquer Gradovich’s style as easy as he has other similar fighters. But with that said, Gradovich is a much better fighter than anyone that Selby has faced thus far.

The Brook vs. Gavin fight card has a number of great fights in addition to the main event fight.

Here are the fights on the card:

Anthony Joshua vs. Kevin Johnson
Jorge Linares vs. Kevin Mitchell
Evgeny Gradovich vs. Lee Selby
John Ryder vs. Nick Blackwell
Nathan Cleverly vs. Tomas Man
Dave Ryan vs. John Wayne Hibbert
Lucien Reid vs. Elemir Rafael
Scott Cardle vs. Craig Evans
