Floyd Mayweather’s last 30 months of his career

floyd#20By Gleam: After silencing critic’s last Saturday by dismantling a game opponent in his prime, Floyd Mayweather is resting and nursing the right hand he injured from hitting Robert Guerrero’s face. If you happened to spot ANY ring rust PLEASE share in the comment box. Moving along, I highly doubt we’re going to see a Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Floyd fight in September. It’s too early in his contract for him to take that type of risk. I see IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexander in Floyd’s near future.

Kell Brook just withdrew from the fight with Devon and I doubt Lee Purdy will win the upset in their fight this month on May 19th, so mayweather will bless him next. After the Alexander/Mayweather snooze fest, I can see Mayweather giving Tim Bradley a shot if he wins against Juan Manuel Marquez in their fight on September 14th. I doubt he’ll be able to best Marquez but after the way the judge’s scored the fight against him and Manny Pacquiao you just never know. Floyd’s father also mentioned he would like to see his son fight Paul Spadafora, an undefeated light welterweight southpaw that’s in Floyd’s age range.

Amir Khan who is a big draw in the UK expressed wanting to fight Floyd. Ironically Floyd recently said he wants to give his fans out there a fight. I definitely see Canelo Alvarez and Khan in Floyd’s future if they can continue to win fights they are the biggest draws out of the bunch. Both explosive young fighters in their prime but also have vulnerable styles that Floyd can expose. Devon Alexander is another one I’m certain about, Paul Spadafora is kinda suspect but Floyd and his father been getting along so he might just do it for him. Timothy Bradley is another must if he can continue to win, and what if Austin Trout avenges his extremely close loss to Canelo?(I had him winning by a point.) And lastly, if Manny Pacquiao can win his next fight impressively he may have a shot after a tune up.  You cannot argue with the demand for this fight even though it’s not the same as before, this is still the one everyone wants to see. All I know is these 30 month’s will surely help keep the sport afloat. Thank you, Floyd.
