At their press conference, Jones, being a realist, said “Thank Kell Brook for making a huge mistake in making this fight. A lot of your fans are saying you’re going to destroy me. I’m sure your promoters think that, but when it comes down to it you’re the only person in the ring, you’re the only person can fight. Please, please, please, I’m asking you to come straight forward like like you said you were going to do. Please do it because you might be a beast, but I’m a monster, and on July 7th, I’m going to show you how special you are not. I’m sure there’s going to be 9,995 Kell Brook fans at Motorpoint Arena on July 7th and 5 Carson Jones fans, but I’m still going to whip his a**. I guarantee you.”

Tell it like is is, Jones! Brook was speechless after Jones said his thing. You could hear a pin drop, and Brook wasn’t saying nothing. He looked shocked and shaken by the experience.

Jones could be the one that finally unmasks Brook and exposes him to the world on July 7th, because Brook hasn’t anyone of real quality after eight long years as a pro. It seems like he’s following in the footsteps of the much younger WBC junior middleweight champion Saul Alvarez by facing his leftovers in Lovemore N’dou and Matthew Hatton. I’m half expecting Brook to go after 40-year-old Shane Mosley next if Brook is able to get by Jones on July 7th. Is Brook following the scrip that Alvarez set out of what? I’m hoping I don’t hear Mosley’s name mentioned after the Jones fight, but my guess is they’ll look to bag Mosley for an easy win over an aging fighter.
