Mosley has three round of his last five fights and is coming into his May 5th fight against WBC junior middleweight champion Saul Alvarez (39-0-1, 29 KO’s) poised for yet another loss. Alvarez will very likely give Mosley such a beating that it will put him out of his misery and send him finally into retirement permanently.

Sometimes when you have an old lion like Mosley, they’re able to hang around because although they’re completely shot, they still are able to last 12 rounds and avoid getting knocked out. But on May 5th, I seen Mosley taking such a bad beating from the young 21-year-old Alvarez that Mosley will decide to hang up the gloves after this fight.

I’m not predicting a knockout because I imagine that Mosley will run like he did against Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. in order to survive. But I see him taking a real bad beating to where the fight is sad to watch.

Mosley doesn’t understand that he’s a shot fighter; he actually thinks he’s going to win this fight and give Alvarez his first loss. It’s disappointing that shot fighters are the last to know that they no longer have it anymore. The boxing public can already see this, but Mosley. He’s still hanging around much in the same way that 49-year-old former heavyweight champion of the world Evander Holyfield is still sticking around and refusing to retire with his impossible dream of becoming the unified world champion.

Alvarez has too much power for Mosley, and with his counter punching ability, he’s going to give Mosley a real pounding in this fight. Mosley will no doubt land some nice shots in this fight, but he’s going to get hit a lot more than what he lands against Alvarez, and he’s going to pay for every shot he throws.
