The fight will likely be pushed back a couple of weeks due to the negotiation issues, as well as international television schedules, according to livefight.com.

Froch and Hearn are trying to get Bute to come to Nottingham, England for the fight rather than Froch fight Bute in his venue in Montreal, Canada. Bute apparently wants the Froch bad enough that he’s willing to take his chances in fighting the Brit at home. I don’t blame Bute for feeling confident. He’s got the better skills, better power and the style to avoid Froch’s slow shots.

It’s an almost guaranteed win as long as the judges don’t score the fight like they did the last time Froch fought at home in Nottingham in his highly controversial 12 round decision over Andre Dirrell in 2009.

Bute has obviously seen that fight and will make sure that he doesn’t fall into the same trap by getting jobbed. The best way to do that is to keep smacking Froch in the puss each time he tries any of the rough stuff like he did in the Dirrell fight.

Dirrell wasted time in looking to the referee to correct Froch and put him under control when he started fouling like crazy in the 5th. The referee did nothing and Froch continued to rough Dirrell up pretty much the entire fight.

The lesson here is to take matters into your own hands when you got a referee that’s just hanging around and doing nothing to control the fouling. Bute can either foul back, which I wouldn’t advise, or just keep smashing Froch in the head. That’s the better option. Froch is crazy to take this fight, though.

Bute’s style is all wrong for Froch and he’s going to lose this one quite badly. The Dirrell brothers and Andre Ward have the skills to nullify everything that Bute is good at. But Froch isn’t immune to Bute’s style like those fighters are and he’s going to lose no matter where the fight takes place.
