Fury has until Thursday to accept the offer. Fury only has until May to defend his title. If he doesn’t do it by then, he’ll be stripped of the title by the BBBofC.

Maloney told Sky Sports News “We have made and offer to Fury and they have until Thursday to agree to terms. We want that fight as quick as possible. He’s got to defend it by the end of May but we’re looking at April.”

Price, 28, faces 42-year-old Josue Blocus (16-2, 14 KO’s) on March 24th in the United States in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This will be the first time for Price (12-0, 10 KO’s) in the U.S and they wanted to ensure that he gets the win by picking a beatable opponent.

Price is highly hyped due to his 6’8” size and his excellent right hand power. However, he’s still not faced anyone of quality at the professional level, and as an amateur, Price was exposed as a fighter that has problems when facing heavy punchers. This problem could carry forward to the pro levels, as it’s rare for a chin to get better over time. Price will need to learn how to protect his chin if he’s to make any impact on the world scene.

Fury is expected to vacate his British title rather than take a risky fight against Price. Fury, 23, has been hurt in his last three fights against Dereck Chisora, Nicolai Firtha and Nevan Pajkic. It would be a serious risk for Fury to face a big puncher like Price until he’s learned how to avoid his big right hand shot.

Fury-Price would be an excellent fight. Both of these guys are badly flawed and would stand no chance against the Klitschkos and some of the other heavyweight contenders. But against each other, it will make an interesting fight while it lasts.
