By Saqib Khan: As a fan of Floyd Mayweather, I believe he is the greatest fighter of his generation. The science of his defence and his willingness to succeed and train rigorously for every fight makes him one of a kind. But on the other corner there is Amir Khan, a fighter who is unified world champion still fighting his critics and still very hungry to get world recognition from fans.
The statement I will probably make will be very controversial but I know my boxing and Khan will beat Mayweather.
To the fans why will Floyd get beat by Khan?
A) Speed : Amir Khan is the fastest one punch fighter in the business Floyd will have trouble countering khan as he does not like getting hit, khan will be too fast for Floyd
B) Floyd’s power: as you know the fighters that have worried khan have been big punchers I don’t see maywether as a thunderous puncher that deter khan from throwing his combos
C) Skills: as we know Floyd skills are pure class, just like to mention Amir Khan is an Olympic silver medallist age seventeen this kid can box ,
D) Weight: we all know it’s taken Floyd a long time to settle into the 147 category as Floyd was a 130 pound fighter, on the other hand Khan is a natural 147-154 fighter his performance punch resistance and power will increase as he goes through the weights, amirs strength and conditioning is focused more on Amir’s legs and core so he will be a machine at 147, Amir trains just as hard as Manny pacquio in the gym.
E) The main factor that Floyd will lose to Khan, the JAB , khan has a great jab just like Oscar De La Hoya, and we all know what Oscar did to Floyd for 6 rounds just before he steamed out. Floyd tends to have trouble with fighters who have a great jab just like him
F) Foot movement: another great asset of khan we all know Floyd has trouble with this , khan doesn’t walk in straight lines like Ricky he uses angles and he will hit Floyd at will
G) Age: I think Amir is catching Floyd at the right time, even though I think Floyd would beat nearly everyone but khan is special and he can box under “the lights” just as Floyd says.
The only factor Amir Khan lacks is his experience but I think all that is thrown out of the window as soon as the first punch is thrown. May the best man win.
