Ortiz didn’t seem confident and looked to be in the need of guidance.

Ortiz started off well when he was needling Kellerman about him doubting Ortiz after his loss to Marcos Maidana in 2009, but Mayweather took over the show and gave Ortiz the business for most of the 12 minute program.

Here are some of Mayweather’s comments: “You don’t have to worry about me boxing and moving because I ain’t going to do that…I’m going to get in there and destroy this kid. It’s going to be blood, sweat and tears.”

Speaking about Manny Pacquiao, Mayweather said “There is five ways to beat him. Four ways to beat him. There’s no way to beat me yet.”

Ortiz said “I’m going to brutalize you for 12 rounds…It’s going to be a war. I am the new king.”

I can’t but think that Mayweather is going to reduce Ortiz to that of one of his many sparring partners that Mayweather leaves bloody and battered during his typical training camps. I don’t think Ortiz has the skills to hang with Mayweather and is going to get exposed rather quickly in this fight. Mayweather does well against sluggers and that’s pretty much what Ortiz is. He’s not a boxer and when he does try to box, he’s like someone trying to paint with the numbers system. He just looks bad, like he’s got two left feet. Ortiz has to go with what got him to this point by slugging, but that won’t work against a fighter like Mayweather.
