Froch feels that Wladimir hasn’t faced anyone special during his career, which is why he’s picking his buddy Haye to win. Froch, however, fails to see that Haye has faced far worse opposition in the weak cruiserweight division and mainly old guys at heavyweight.

Here is what Froch had to say at the examiner.com: “I think David can do it, I really do. Obviously, Klitschko is the big, big favorite and he’s beaten down so many opponents. But I say, look at his record, and who were most of the guys he beat, nothing great, really.”

Boy, that’s the pot calling the kettle black. Froch seems to be completely ignoring Haye’s last four fights at heavyweight. Let’s see what we have here: Nikolay Valuev (36-years-old and painfully slow), John Ruiz (38-years-old), Monte Barrett (38-years-old), Audley Harrison (39-years-old). And that’s just the heavyweights that Haye has fought. His opposition at cruiserweight has been far, far worse.

Emanuel Steward, the trainer for Wladimir, summed it up good by saying this about some of Haye’s fights, “He’s not done anything major,” Steward said to Sky Sports News. “He’s fighting a Monte Barrett, who Wlad knocked out eight years ago, who three years ago was knocked out two days in a row [in working as a sparing partner for Wladimir] and we sent him home. But still, UK fans went out and bought him fighting Monte Barrett, and fighting one of his buddies, who he rehearsed the script with, Audley Harrison. It’s typical of him. It’s hype. On July 2nd, the hype is over with and reality sets in and David Haye will find himself in an enclosed ring, and everyone will have to leave. And Haye will have to leave all his video games, and his scissors, his paperwork and his crayons, all of that has to leave. Adam [Booth] has got to leave, and he’s going to be standing in the ring with Wladimir Klitschko, and reality sets in. From there you’re going to see a totally different situation because there’s no hype.”

I totally agree with you, Mr. Steward. Reality is going to be setting in and Haye will be like a scared rabbit without a hole to hide in. Booth won’t be able to think for him or fight his battle with Wladimir.
