Steward worried about Chisora giving Wladimir problems

By Dave Lahr: Legendary trainer Emanuel Steward is very concerned with his fighter IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko’s next fight against unbeaten British heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s) on April 30th in Mannheim, Germany. Steward sees something in the unbeaten Chisora that has him very worried about potentially losing to Chisora. Steward says “Chisora is the most dangerous opponent Wladimir will have fought in many years.”

It’s understandable why Steward feels this way because Chisora has a great deal of raw talent. Up until now, he’s been like a diamond in the rough, beating guys like Sam Sexton, Danny Williams and Carl Baker on talent alone. But he’s getting and looking a lot sharper in recent video. His hand speed and power are two areas that Wladimir is going to have a lot problems with in this fight. Also, Chisora’s head movement is going to give Wladimir fits, because the big Ukrainian has poor accuracy with his shots.

Klitschko doesn’t throw punches unless he’s absolutely certain he’s going to land. With Chisora moving his head constantly and bobbing and weaving, Wladimir is going to be paralyzed, unable to land his power shots. Chisora will then get inside and land his shots on Wladimir’s soft chin. With Chisora’s power, it won’t take long before he hurts Wladimir. This is why Steward is incredibly worried about Chisora. He knows this guy has some serious talent and is a very real threat to the weak-chinned Wladimir. With Wladimir’s chin problems, it only takes one hard punch and he’s flopping around on the canvas. And believe me, Chisora is going to be landing a lot of shots.
