Khan, 24, hasn’t had much luck in finding an opponent that will fit in with what he wants to pay them.

However, Prescott, who stopped Khan in the 1st round in 2008, has made it clear that he doesn’t want a lot of money to fight him. Prescott also is probably Khan’s best opponent if he wants to make a lot of money on pay-per-view for his April 16th fight, because Prescott is well known in the UK and many boxing fans have been waiting for Khan to try and avenge the defeat. It would mean a lot for Khan if he were to successfully avenge the loss.

Prescott, 5’11”, had too much power for Khan when they fought in 2008. Khan made the mistake of coming out and trying to slug with Prescott. Things quickly went bad when Prescott staggered Khan in the opening seconds with a powerful jab and then laid out Khan with a huge hook to the head. To his credit, Khan got back to his feet and tried to resume fight. However, Prescott quickly put him down with some tremendous hooks. This time the fight was stopped after Khan staggered to his feet.

Khan is also looking at lightweights John Murray and Michael Katsidis as a potential opponent for his 4/16 date. Khan needs to his decision soon so that the marketing of the fight can begin.
