Image: There’s no way Mayweather can beat Pacquiao!By Juan dela Cruz: Floyd Mayweather Jr. is undoubtedly the best defensive fighter we have ever seen. He honed his skills through time in several wars above the ring, defeating fighters who come across his path, becoming the darling of the crowd and thus earning him the moniker “Money May” for selling huge PPVs. Yes, Floyd is one of the best of this era, one of the best because there is another fighter who had shown that he is also the best, a fighter who have slain bigger opponents in fashionable (read: brutal) way, a fighter who already cemented his legacy in the annals of the boxing world, and that is Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao.

Pacman is known as the most offensive fighter, brutally demolishing one fighter after another, fighting anyone you put him in the ring with. But many pugs before him had done this too, not only one, but a lot. So what the fuss about this achievement? The difference is, Manny had come from lower weight and as he climb, he carry with him his stamina, power, speed and skills, wreaking havoc to every division he’s in, and just recently earned his eight belt in eight different weight divisions, a remarkable feat indeed.

If the much-awaited mega fight between Pacquiao and Floyd happens, who will be the last man standing? Who will be crowned the best pound for pound fighter? Clearly, it is Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather has no way of beating Pacman. He can not say he is too fast for Manny. He got hit by all of his opponents, and with Manny’s speed, how the hell can’t Manny hit him? And worse, Manny got the power and he had shown it in all of his fights, the last being against Margarito whose face was reduced to pulp, bloodied and needs surgery for a broken bone. And Antonio is the bigger guy in that fight, came prepared and in perfect condition while Pac had some distractions while training back in the Philippines.

Floyd is the best counter puncher, and there is no doubt about that. It is possible that he can hit Pacman a million times if and when they fight. And Manny will love that, the more he got hit by Floyd, the more his chances of landing his vicious combinations in the face of Mayweather. Manny had been against powerful bigger guys in the ring and he already tasted their punches. Dela Hoya, Cotto, Clottey and Margarito had given Manny their best punches, and Pacquiao just ate them all. Floyd is not a power puncher, and Manny can accept all he can throw all night long. And the more he throws, the more he will get hit by Pacman.

His uncle trainer admitted that Floyd had a hard time against southpaws, and Manny is one of them. Mayweather can’t use his shoulder roll against lefties unlike against orthodox boxers. But let’s say he use it against Pacquiao, then for sure, his shoulder will be detached from his body by Pacquiao’s punches. Floyd is known also as a runner, he keeps on running away from his opponent, then strike when he has a chance that’s why most of his wins came by way of points, only a few were by knock out. But with Manny’s stamina, he can keep on stalking Floyd and hitting him with his powerful combinations all through out the fight.

When the best defensive fighter collides with the best offensive warrior, usually, the offensive had the upper hand because as it is said, offense is the best defense. Besides, Manny has already proven to every one that he can take punches, demolish bigger guys, and most of all, fight with his heart. If and when the mega fight happens, Manny will demolish Floyd, bust his face into pulp, and send him to hospital then to permanent retirement.
