Image: Mayweather: “If Manny Pacquiao takes the blood test, we can make the fight”By Dave Lahr: Just moments after last night’s fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Shane Mosley, Mayweather laid on the line what needs to be done for him to fight WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao by saying that the Filipino star will have to agree to the Olympic style blood testing. Mayweather trounced Mosley, winning every round except for the 2nd round and getting the win by the lopsided scores of 119-109, 118-110 and 119-109. After the fight, Mayweather said “If Manny Pacquiao takes the blood and urine test, we can make the fight happen for all the fans.” When asked what if there wasn’t any tests, Mayweather said “We don’t got no fight.” There it is.

If Pacquiao wants the fight, and wants to get the huge Mayweather money that comes with it, he’ll have to agree to the blood tests. If he doesn’t, then there won’t be a fight. I don’t see what the problem is. It isn’t as if Mayweather only wants Pacquiao to take the blood tests. He just finished having Mosley take the tests and he was more than happy to have them done to get the huge payday. Mosley will be making a minimum of $7 million for the Mayweather fight. That’s not bad money. Pacquiao would obviously make a lot more if he agrees to take the blood tests so that fight can happen.
