by Sean Lewis: Filipino idol, and multi-division champion Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao will face the always formidable “Sugar” Shane Mosley at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 7th. As with any fight with Shane Mosley this promises to be an entertaining fight. Shane will bring his A game and put on a brave, albeit losing, effort. Manny Pacquiao will be, as usual, a wrecking ball of destruction as he attempts to move one step closer to a shot at Floyd Mayweather and the boxing glory that would come with a victory over one of boxing’s best.
Unfortunately, Manny believes that Floyd has the same champion’s desire that burns within himself. He thinks that a victory over Mosley will all but guarantee that Floyd will quit his silly posturing and finally make the fight we all want to see. Surely Floyd will hear the public talking about Floyd’s boring victory over Mosley and Pac’s subsequent destruction. This can only play into Floyd’s competitive nature. Floyd will then come out of hiding, and agree to face Pacquiao without any testing beyond what is required by the commission. Boxing fans will then be treated to the long awaited battle between two of boxing’s pound for pound kings. Pacman will win this affair going away, and the question of supremacy will finally be answered. This is what Pac hopes to accomplish against Shane Mosley, but APRIL FOOLS, APRIL FOOLS, APRIL FOOLS……I see Mosley knocking Pac out in round 5

The judges and juries handling Floyd’s cases would definitely find him guilty evidence wise but because also they want him to fight Manny… If Floyd loses all of his cases, he will run out of money and most probably go out and fight…

Where is the story about Hopkins refusal to take a test? Why is it dead? Somebody please answer me? I raised the issue a while ago after the Sugarfree fight that maybe, just maybe Fraud had a heads up on the testing. Why else would he insist on themdoing the tests and they publicy praising him.

there is proof that mayweather is scared…the 100 million dollars. he just doesnt want the fight. this whole washed up fighter routine is getting old, they were just as washed up when mayweather fought them….a year earlier. and in every case, packman has looked better against the same opponents. mayweather would have lost to oscar if he hadnt got tired and stopped jabbing. it was shocking how easy he was to reach with a jab. and how scared he looked of an old, slow, oscar. and if mosley hadnt been over the hill and still able to pull the trigger, he would have knocked mayweather out when he had him in trouble. i dont think mayweather has much of a chin…so he picks his opponents carefully.

i know what you are saying. but its very flawed. styles make fights, you cant cross compare that way. its as faulty as trying to tell how good someone is but how fast they knock a shared opponent out. foremen beats frazier and norton. ali beats foremen. foreman was perfect for ali’s style. he was all wrong for frazier and norton. it takes ali 12 rounds to beat frazier, it takes foreman 2. but ali is better. mosley should look better against packman…because mosley has never been able to handle a slick boxer. mayweather picked him for that reason. vernon forrest beat mosley twice early on. then forrest lost twice to mayorga. the only thing that will settle this is for mayweather to give up his ridiculous demands and get in the ring…

1. Martinez is #1 P4P right now
– Pacquiao hasn’t fought a meaningful contender who wasn’t weight drained or at a catch weight in a few years. The only reason Pacquiao is ranked #1 has more to do with his popularity
2. Martinez punch against Paul Williams was not luck. He admitted in the interview after the fight that he was working on the looping left hand cause of the mistakes that Paul kept making by being so aggressive in the first fight

i agree with most on pac fighting guys that are too slow to keep up with him. but i thought the margarito fight was a risky one. being that marg is huge and hits pretty damn hard. let’s face it, manny’s defense is spotty at best and all it takes is one good shot (especially from a guy like marg)and the fight is over. it’s the same reason why most middleweights and light heavy’s don’t transition very well to heavies, they may be faster and more agile but all it takes is one or two heavweight shots and…lights out.

On the Williams KO I understand why you would call it luck but if you look at the fight agian it was not look. He was tring to hit him with it before the KO came.
Agreed, Sergio is not that great. Some quality wins as of late, but still looks sloppy with some stamina issues at times. Also, that punch he hit Williams with was a lucky punch. people are gonna argue with that, but he hit williams with bombs for twelve rounds and couldnt put him down, so ill chalk it up to luck. As for Pacquiao, he looks good because of his opponents i think. I hope that he can step in with Floyd one day and prove me wrong, but im not holding my breath on that one.

I wouldn’t sleep too much on Mosely. Pacquiao is the favorite to win but I would give Mosley more than just a punchers chance. He does have some skill and Pac’s style isn’t like Mayweather’s or Mora’s so standing in front of Shane trading bombs is probably going to play into Mosely’s hands. Pacquiao better stick to those weird unorthodox angles if he wants to win.
it’s unfortunate that pacquiao won’t take the tests. that would be the easy solution to this problem. the other easy solution would be for floyd to quit with the rbt’s and just box. there’s a ton of money to be made, so what’s the real problem? is manny that much of a threat with roids? my question is, if floyd feels that manny’s style is taylor made for him then screw everything else!! big money, easy fight. where’s the problem?
