Imponderables Make the Klitschko-Haye Showdown a Must See

By Steven Pink: On June 20th David Haye, 22-1 (21), must step into the ring with 6’7’’ 250 pound defending Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko, 52-3 (46) who will be defending his IBF and WBO titles and fighting in the relative comfort of his adopted home country. All the bluster, histrionics and trash talk in the world will be of little or no use to him once the first bell rings.

Klitschko-Haye: Will Confidence be Enough For David to Win?

By Matt Stein: Former cruiserweight champion David Haye (22-1, 21 KOs) will be looking to pull off an upset when he faces International Boxing Federation/World Boxing Organization heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (52-3, 46 KOs) on June 20th, at the Veltins Arena, in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Never one to be considered short on confidence, the 28-year-old Haye firmly believes that his speed and power alone is going to be enough to compensate for his lack of size and experience going against the big 6’6 ½” Klitschko.

Is Haye the Next Fighter That Gets Exposed?

By Scott Gilfoid: Coming off a bad week for British boxing with the 2nd round KO loss by Ricky Hatton, next up we have another seemingly confident Brit in David Haye, who with next to no experience against top level heavyweight competition, has talked his way into a fight with none other than IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko for a bout set to take place on June 20th at the Veltins Arena, in Germany. Haye has done an admirable job of first pressuring Klitschko through the media to get the fight with the Ukrainian and then selling out the large 63,000 seat German soccer stadium by promoting the fight.

How Would Wladimir Have Handled Ali’s Trash Talking?

wladimir564471By William Mackay: Seeing how easily Wladimir Klitschko has been reduced to almost jelly by David Haye in the past couple of weeks during press conferences, I wonder how Wladimir would have handled it if he were facing Muhammed Ali rather Haye on June 20th, in Germany. Remembering how Ali was able to make fun of heavyweights like Sonny Liston, Joe Frazier and George Foreman, I suspect that Wladimir would been possibly reduced to tears by the quick witted Ali and in no condition to fight him by the time they did eventually enter the ring.

The German boxing fans stood in lines that Bonte says were close to a mile long, possibly exaggerating more than a little to help promote the fight a little.

Klitschko-Haye: Why Won’t David Show Wladimir Any Respect?

wladimir44569By Scott Gilfoid: I don’t see what David Haye’s problem is, but he needs to start showing IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (52-3, 46 KOs) the respect that he deserves or else risk taking the beating of his life come June 20th at the Veltins Arena, in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. The latest episode of non-respect from Haye came earlier today when he strut into a news conference being held in Veltins Arena with a horrible t-shirt showing him holding the decapitated heads of Wladimir and Vitali.

Klitschko-Haye Bout to Take Place in German Soccer Stadium – News

wladimir434443556By Chris Williams: With the latest news about International Boxing Federation and World Boxing Organization heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (52-3, 46 KOs) facing British heavyweight David Haye (22-1, 21 KOs) in a 60,000 seat soccer in Gilsenkirchen, Germany, I’m now giving Haye next to no chance of winning the fight. Haye had it bad before the fight, coming into a bout with the best heavyweight on the planet with little experience at heavyweight, a bad chin and not enough size for the division. I could ignore all of those factors and still give Haye a moderately good chance because of his awesome power.

Is Haye Better Off Not Fighting Wladimir?

haye343445By Chris Williams: With today’s news about Wladimir Klitschko deciding to end negotiations with David Haye due to a variety of reasons, I think Haye might be better off now without the fight. The reason is simple: Haye hasn’t the experience, the size, or the chin to compete against a fighter as big, fast, skilled and as powerful as Wladimir, and by taking on a fighter with as much overall talent as Wladimir, I believe it would be way too much of a step up for Haye.
