By Jim Dower: The question is no longer whether IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitchscko will be knocking David Haye out, it’s what round. With a history of a glass jaw, which wasn’t helped by Haye’s 5th round knockdown by Monte Barrett in November, Haye, 28, is little better than an inflated cruiserweight with neither the size or the chin for the heavyweight division who instead of testing himself against other quality heavyweights to earn a shot against Wladimir, was propelled, some say unfairly, to what appears to be a title shot against Wladimir in the summer.
Klitschko vs. Haye
Will Haye Freeze Under The Spotlights
By Jim Dower: Put on the fast track for a heavyweight title against one of the Klitschko brothers, as of now rumored to be Wladimir, former cruiserweight champion David Haye hasn’t had to earn his way to the top like other fighters. This in itself may or may not end up biting him on the backside when he’s put in the ring with one of the 6’6″ Klitschko brothers, but it probably won’t help him much either.
Is Vitali Doing Wladimir a Disservice By Fighting Haye?
Photo by Pavel “Eagle eye” Terehov – By Matt Stein: Wladimir Klitschko must either be the nicest brother you could ever imagine having or else someone gullible, passive and easily walked over. Why else would he allow his older brother, Vitali Klitschko, to leapfrog over him and take on David Haye, a fighter that has for months been pursuing Wladimir with single-minded determination. Now, instead of Wladimir being the one to take on Haye in what will without a doubt be a minor mega-fight, Vitali has stepped up and will be fighting him instead.
Haye: He [Vitali] Thinks He’s Ivan Drago
By Matt Stein: Already unleashing the dogs of war, David Haye fired off salvos at his next opponent, Vitali Klitschko today in an interview with the BBC Sport, saying “He [Vitali] thinks he’s Ivan Drago. He stands as stiff as a board. I’ve got speed and I’m a fast athlete. I think I can beat this guy. I got confidence watching Manny Pacquiao beat De La Hoya.”

Vitali Klitschko: “I Will Knock Him [Haye] Out – I Am So Sorry”
By Aaron Klein: Shortly after watching David Haye stop Monte Barrett last Saturday night in the 5th round, former two-time heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (36-2, 35 KOs), according to the Southwork News, said “I will knock him [Haye] out – I am so sorry.”
Should Vitali Klitschko Face Haye First Rather Than Wladimir?
By Jim Dower: With tonight’s 5th round stoppage victory by David Haye over journeyman Monte Barrett, should Vitali Klitschko be Haye’s next opponent rather than Wladimir? At 37, Vitali isn’t going to be around boxing for much longer, and he has no credible opponents on the horizon other than his number #1 challenger to his WBC crown, Juan Carlos Gomez, who most boxing fans could care less about seeing Vitali fight.
