Lewis gives Tyson Fury no chance of beating Wladimir Klitschko

fury55By Scott Gilfoid: #1 WBO Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs) will be getting a world title shot later this year against IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-3, 53 KOs) later this year by the virtue of Fury winning the WBO heavyweight eliminator bout against domestic level fighter Dereck Chisora last year in November, but Fury is likely to be in well over his head when he gets inside the ring with the arguably more talented Wladimir.

That’s what former heavyweight world champion Lennox Lewis believes. He thinks that Fury has faced no one during his brief seven-year pro career that is remotely as big or as talented as what he’ll be seeing in the ring when he faces the 6’6”, hard-punching Wladimir later this year.

Klitschko says he’s fighting Tyson Fury next

wladimir123By Scott Gilfoid: IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-3, 53 KOs) says he’ll be defending his titles next against his #1 WBO mandatory challenger Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs) in Europe somewhere. Klitschko, 39, says he’s open to fighting in England, but it’s a fight that could also take place somewhere else in Europe.

One would have to assume that Wladimir will elect to stage the fight in Germany where he has a huge fan base and is capable of selling out stadiums over there.
Wladimir is looking very vulnerable nowadays after his poor performance against American Bryant Jennings last April.

Fury’s promoter Hennessy hoping to get Klitschko to fight him UK

wladimir123By Scott Gilfoid: Mick Hennessy, the promoter for #1 WBO Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs), is hoping that IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-3, 53 KOs) will travel to the UK to face the 6’9” Fury in one of the stadiums in either September or October.

If the Klitschko-Fury fight is staged in the UK, they can make big money by filling it with fans. A venue like Wembley Stadium in London would be ideal. However, for Hennessy to get his way in getting the 39-year-old Klitschko to travel to the UK, he’ll need to win the purse bid to make that happen.

Tyson Fury says he’ll smash Wladimir Klitschko

Image: Tyson Fury says he’ll smash Wladimir KlitschkoBy Scott Gilfoid: #1 WBO, #3 WBC, #3 IBF, #7 WBA heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs) says he’s going to obliterate IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-3, 53 KOs) once he gets him inside the ring at some point in the future.

The 26-year-old Fury could get his shot at Klitschko later this year unless Klitschko retires or vacates his WBO title. Fury is the WBO mandatory challenger for Wladimir after he beat Dereck Chisora by a 10th round stoppage in November 2014.

Klitschko vs. Fury possible for September or October in UK

wladimir53562By Dan Ambrose: IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko could be defending his titles against his #1 WBO mandatory Tyson Fury in his home country of the UK rather than in Germany where Wladimir has had most of his fights take place since turning pro 19 years ago.

Klitschko is reportedly interested in whipping Fury in front of his own British fans to put him in his place. Wladimir recently beat American Bryant Jennings in front of his own fans in the United States last April in a 12 round unanimous decision win in a fight that was tougher than expected.

Fury unimpressed with Klitschko’s win over Jennings

wladimir53562By Scott Gilfoid: #1 WBO contender Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs) saw heavyweight Wladimir Klitschko’s win over Bryant Jennings (19-1, 10 KOs) last Saturday night and he came away unimpressed with what he saw from the 39-year-old Ukrainian.

There was nothing in the performance from the 6’6” Wladimir (64-3, 53 KOs) that has Fury worried. Wladimir won the fight by a 12 round unanimous decision, but he took no chances with Jennings and seemed content with mostly with jabbing rather than throwing power shots. Wladimir treated Jennings like he was a knockout artist despite his history showing that he’s not a big puncher at all.

Wladimir Klitschko: It looks like Fury is next!

wladimir777By Scott Gilfoid: After bellyaching about wanting a title shot against IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-3, 53 KOs) for the past two years, #1 WBO mandatory challenger Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs) is about to get his dream come true with Wladimir now saying he’ll be likely be his next opponent.

Now it’s up to Fury to show that he can back up his bold talk because the British fighter has been flapping his gums 24/7 about how he thinks he can beat the 6’6” Wladimir and now he’s going to be getting the chance to show what he can do. It’ll be good for these two fighters to finally get it over with and fight each other so that boxing fans can find out who the better man is.

Tyson Fury: The way to beat Wladimir Klitschko is to fight from a southpaw stance

fury56By Scott Gilfoid: Despite #1 WBO challenger Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs) never having fought anyone even remotely as talented as IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (63-3, 53 KOs) before in his career, Fury believes that he can beat the 6’6” Ukrainian Klitschko simply by switching his fighting stance to southpaw when the two fighters face each other in a fight that likely will take place next September. Fury is coming off of an 8th round stoppage win over Germany’s Christian Hammer last Saturday night at the O2 Arena in London, UK.

Fury, 6’9”, likes to point out that the late 6’4” South African Corrie Sanders was a southpaw, and he was able to get Wladimir out of there in just two rounds in their fight in March of 2003.

Tyson Fury’s promoter sees Wladimir agreeing to fight in UK in summer

fury90677By Scott Gilfoid: Mick Hennessy, the promoter for #1 WBO heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (23-0, 17 KOs), believes that a fight between Fury and IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (63-3, 53 KOs) is going to take place in the summer in 2015, possibly in the UK.

While recently there was talk of Wladimir facing 43-year-old former WBO heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs in September of this year, Hennessy believes that Wladimir will take on Fury. If not, then Hennessy sees it going to purse bids where Wladimir would have little choice but to take the fight if he wants to hold onto his World Boxing Organization title.

TYSON FURY – not ready yet for Wladimir

fury544By John Stevens: All I keep reading lately is how Tyson Fury has his sights on Klitschko to the exclusion of all other fighters, including new champ Deontay Wilder. If this is really the case then it seems like he’ll have a long wait, 2016 at the earliest, as Wladimir has a tricky bout against Bryant Jennings in April, as well as mentioning he is interested in fighting Shannon Briggs thereafter – thus – it seems like Fury is not really a priority in his plans at this time.

Tyson has hinted that he intends to ‘stay busy’ until he gets his shot. This is a rather worrying thing to say as ‘stay busy’ implies that he will be taking bouts that shouldn’t really trouble him too much (much like the upcoming Christian hammer fight) – if he should take this path for the next 2 or 3 fights before he gets his chance then I feel he is making a big mistake, and here’s why;
