By Joe Mitchell: Unbeaten heavyweight world title challenger Derek Chisora (14-0 9 KO’s) angered Wladimir Klitschko today at the press conference in England today. He said he has never seen Wladimir’s fights and he only watched the ring entrances because that was the only good thing to watch. He also said the boxing in the ring is embarrassing for the fans and not good for boxing. Chisora has been very vocal and said he is the hungriest fighter Klitschko has faced and vowed to “rough him up”.

By Dave Lahr: I just saw video of the press conference between IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) and his next opponent Derek Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s) in Germany. Chisora called Shannon Briggs an “Embarrassment to boxing” because he was beaten by WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko last weekend. I’d like to see how Chisora would fight with a torn left biceps. He should try that out for a change. He can come back at 38, then experience a tear in his left biceps and then fight for 12 rounds with it. I’d like to see how well Chisora does fighting with that kind of injury at that advanced age.

By William Mackay: British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s) lost his temper with IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 45 KO’s) recently in Germany. Wladimir took issue with some of the comments that Chisora made about Shannon Briggs, and Wladimir said “I want you to give respect to the man [Briggs] because he deserves it.” While Wladiimir was still talking, an angry Chisora cut in on him, saying “I am going to come physically to take the titles off of you. I expect you to give me a better fight than your last opponents. He [Briggs] came to to get paid like the rest of the Americans.
Haye thinks Chisora isn’t ready for Klitschko
By Scott Gilfoid: In the latest boxing news, WBA heavyweight champion David Haye doesn’t feel that British heavyweight Dereck Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s) is ready to beat IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s), who the 26-year-old Chisora will be taking on in December on the 11th at the SAP-Arena, Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Speaking to the BBC.co.uk, Haye said “I hope he [Chisora] can pull it off but he’s neither physically or mentally ready. British level and world level is a completely different sport. Maybe if Dereck had won a European title and defended that three or four times against good caliber opposition and fought some world ranked fighters, potentially he’d have a shot.” But he’s had no real amateur pedigree, had only 14 fights against journeyman and the best he’s won is the British title, which is no bad thing.”

By Sean McDaniel: British and Commonwealth champion Derek Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s) will be taking on one of the most dangerous heavyweights in the world when he faces IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) on December 11th at the SAP-Arena, Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Chisora, 26, has done very little to prove that he’s going to be able to stand in with Klitschko for any length of time. Chisora has an even shorter reach than recent Klitschko victim Eddie Chambers, who was unable to land hardly any of his shots because he didn’t have the long enough reach to hit Wladimir. And Lamon Brewster, one of the few that have stopped Wladimir in the past, has a three inch reach advantage over Chisora. So, in other words, Chisora is going to have to walk through a lot of heavy shots for him to get near enough to Klitschko to land his shots.

By Scott Gilfoid: British and Commonwealth champion Derek Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s) seems like he’s living in a dream world, as he’s already looking past his next fight with IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) and is thinking of Wladimir’s brother Vitali Klitschko’s WBC heavyweight title that he wants next. Despite being British, Chisora isn’t interested in taking on the winner of the World Boxing Association heavyweight clash between champion David Haye and Audley Harrison. Instead, Chisora, 26, had this to say at Sky Sports News, “I don’t really care about those other two guys, David Haye and his friend Audley Harrison. They have nothing I want to be honest. The belt [Haye’s WBA strap] has got is one of the lowest, so I don’t really care about it. The WBC one [the belt belonging to Vitali Klitschko] is the one I want. I want to be a massive underdog. I don’t want everybody to be like ‘Oh, he’s got a chance.’ I want to shock the world. It is a big step up but it’s the only name everybody’s afraid of. Say Klitschko and everybody’s like ‘wow, oh my god.’ The name hits you straight away. But if you think about it, the guy is beatable and I am going to beat him.”
Are there better options out there for Derek Chisora?
By Mark Hepplestall: Firstly I would like to point out I am a Wladimir Klitschko Fan and I am a Derek Chisora fan and for that very reason I can see exactly why these two vastly different boxers are not ready to fight each other. Wladimir is without doubt the best boxer in the Heavyweight Division while Derek Chisora is not even at European level yet.
How can people defend Wladimir now?
By Mark Hepplestall: This is the first time I have wrote a negative article about any boxing match it’s just that this fight cannot be sugar-coated anymore; Derek “Del-Boy” Chisora has got a fight against the number 1 rated heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. This is the biggest mismatch in the heavyweight division since; well ever really it’s even worse the Haye vs. Harrison.
