Chisora taunts Wladimir “Who do you love more your titles or your girlfriend?”

By Joe Mitchell: Unbeaten heavyweight world title challenger Derek Chisora (14-0 9 KO’s) angered Wladimir Klitschko today at the press conference in England today. He said he has never seen Wladimir’s fights and he only watched the ring entrances because that was the only good thing to watch. He also said the boxing in the ring is embarrassing for the fans and not good for boxing. Chisora has been very vocal and said he is the hungriest fighter Klitschko has faced and vowed to “rough him up”.

The thing that angered Wladimir the most was when Chisora said “Who do you love more, your titles or your girlfriend?” This really angered Klitschko and he said he would paint Chisora’s face December 11th. I found this quote very funny and did seem to get under Wladimir’s skin; much like David Haye has over the last few years. Chisora said he wouldn’t be able to paint his face because he has great head movement and is light on his feet; a different challenge to what Wlad has faced over the past few years. He also said he would knock Wlad out in the 7th or 8th and said Wlad leaves his chin out and has no head movement.

In some ways this fight reminds me of the build up to Shannon Briggs vs. Vitali Klitschko, Briggs said he was gonna go all guns blazing and knock Vitali out and we saw what happen another embarrassing American display. He isn’t brave and doesn’t deserve credit because after 1 round he just went into survival mode and thought he achieved something by going 12 rounds but didn’t because he probably did permanent damage to his health. However I believe Chisora will be different, he is young hungry isn’t there for a payday and most importantly isn’t American. This is a British heavyweight who has the will to win and vowed to give the fans an exciting match up not just a good build up and be a walking punch bag in the ring. People need to get behind this fight because it will be the most exciting Klitschko fight you will have seen in years. Chisora has a monster challenge and is ready to leave it all in the ring and shock the world.
