Khan believes Kell Brook fight could make £100m in future

khan777By Scott Gilfoid: Welterweight contender Amir Khan (31-3, 19 KOs) says it’s better to wait to fight IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (35-0, 24 KOs) in the future after he’s faced the bigger names and become a star than it would be for him to fight him right now and make far less money due to him being a more obscure name in America.

Khan believes that a fight between him and Brook will someday make tremendous money similar to how the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao fight became a huge money maker for both fighters by them waiting six years before fighting each other.

Brook Accepts Khan’s BIG Mistake!!

khan67777By Rusty Nate: We have all heard the unbelievable offer Amir Khan has made to Kell Brook over the past 24 hours. “Kell if you want the fight, winner takes all”. My first reaction to this is WOW what a massive, massive mistake by Amir Khan to do this in front of the world.

I, along with millions of other boxing fans, could have predicted Kell’s response would come at the speed of light to that offer. Kell Brook is the IBF World Champion, he is undefeated, he is confident of victory every time he steps into the ring and he is a fully fledged Welterweight with good power and speed in his hands.

Khan offers Brook a winner take all fight

khan56By Scott Gilfoid: If IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (34-0, 23 KOPs) wants a fight against Amir Khan (30-3, 19 KOs) badly enough then he’s going to have to agree to a winner take all fight with the winner of the bout collecting all the cash.

This is what Khan, 28, is offering Brook if he wants the fight with him. Khan believes that the only reason that Brook wants the fight with him is because he’s looking to cash out.

Hearn giving Khan 48 hours to agree to Kell Brook fight

SHEFFIELD-BROOK-DANN18(Photo Credit: Lawrence Lustig) By Scott Gilfoid: IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook’s promoter Eddie Hearn is only giving Amir Khan just 48 hours to agree to a fight against the 28-year-old Brook otherwise there will be no chance of Khan getting the fight, which Hearn had plans on taking place on June 13th in the UK.

Hearn felt that the Khan-Brook fight would be big enough to stage in a large stadium in Britain. But Khan has already said that he has no interest in fighting Brook, because he’s not a well-known fighter in the United States of yet, and he’s still fighting lesser opposition despite the fact that Brook has been a pro for 11 years.

“If we don’t start talking for real in the next couple of days it will be too late for June 13,” Hearn said via the Dailymail.co.uk. “And I’m not expecting my phone to ring within 48 hours. They have already said that our fight will happen – but not next.”

YouTube video

By Scott Gilfoid: Matchroom Sport promoter Eddie Hearn has the June 13th date open for his fighter IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (33-0, 22 KOs) for him to face Amir Khan (30-3, 19 KOs) if he can get Khan to agree to take the fight.

Hearn has his doubts that the 28-year-old Khan will say yes to a fight against Brook, because he believes that Khan is afraid of losing the fight to Brook.

Kell Brook needs Amir Khan

brook8By Adam Mccoy: Kell “Special K” Brook (33-0 22KO) has finally accomplished his dream when he defeated a very game Shawn Porter last year at the Stubhub Centre in Carson, California. Despite other British greats let me remind you Kell Brook was the first British boxer to win a world title against an American in the states.

Brook was a huge underdog going into the fight after Porter’s wins over Devon Alexander and effectively retiring Paulie Malignaggi. Against all odds brook produced a boxer masterclass that had Porters power shots missing wildly. Kell brook now has the world at his feet and the fights he has available are fights he could only dream of some years ago providing there is no slip ups against mandatory Jo Jo Dan in two weeks.

Hearn pushing for Khan vs. Brook in June

khan53By Scott Gilfoid: Matchroom Sport promoter Eddie Hearn is in talks with Amir Khan’s management for a fight against Hearn’s fighter IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook for what Hearn hopes will be in June of this year.

Khan recently missed out on a fight against Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr, who signed for a fight against each other on May 2nd. It was thought by some boxing fans and writers that Khan had a chance to get a fight against one of them, although I don’t think Khan had any real chance of getting either of them in the ring.

The Avenue for Amir Khan and Kell Brook will have to merge

khan200By Shaun La: Amir Khan (30-3 with 19 knockouts) has a name in boxing that backs up a solid amateur record, experience in the Olympics and a professional career that has had momentum, pitfalls and a couple of comebacks. Flat out, Khan has the speed and power that can catch any given opponent to the point that it can offer them problems throughout any given round.

Aside from this, Khan has a skeptical chin and during moments within some of his bouts, he has lost focus that can be attributed to his lack of defense that can sway, because he becomes comfortable with being speedier than his opposition. When you hear him speak, his platform of confidence is often progressively developed, that he believes that he should be matched up against Floyd Mayweather Jr., Manny Pacquiao, and his latest suggestion has been that he would meet Miguel Cotto at a catch-weight of 155 pounds.

Khan vs Brook at Wembley?

brook5666By James P Sexton: Amir Khan’s long run at trying to lure pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr into a lucrative pay-per-view bout seems to be at an end. Mayweather has said that Khan doesn’t have the name to generate the interest he is looking for.

If Khan can get neither Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao  bouts who will be his next choice of opponent? Assuming he can and will move on from these bouts to other things, IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook would seem to be the next best thing.

Hearn: Haymon loves the Khan-Brook fight

khan88By Scott Gilfoid: British promoter Eddie Hearn says that Amir Khan’s adviser Al Haymon is interested in a fight between Khan and IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook. Hearn is hoping that a fight between Khan and Brook can get negotiated by January in order for the fight to take place at Wembley Stadium in the summer.

Unfortunately, Khan is still holding out for a fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr in early 2015, even though Mayweather said that he has no interested in fighting Khan.
