Brook Accepts Khan’s BIG Mistake!!

khan67777By Rusty Nate: We have all heard the unbelievable offer Amir Khan has made to Kell Brook over the past 24 hours. “Kell if you want the fight, winner takes all”. My first reaction to this is WOW what a massive, massive mistake by Amir Khan to do this in front of the world.

I, along with millions of other boxing fans, could have predicted Kell’s response would come at the speed of light to that offer. Kell Brook is the IBF World Champion, he is undefeated, he is confident of victory every time he steps into the ring and he is a fully fledged Welterweight with good power and speed in his hands.

In his eye’s Khan is an over confident contender who has fought no one of any note at Welterweight and has spent his career at the lighter weight class picking up 3 losses (2 by devastating KO) along the way. Why would Brook not go for this offer to fight for winner takes all?

I honestly think Khan believed that making this offer would provoke a negative response from Brook and thus would give Khan the upper hand in their little war of words. How could a fighter be so far off the mark when reading the situation?

Now the ball is back in Amir’s court, he has made the outrageous offer, Kell has responded immediately to say “yes” and now Amir has 2 choices: Honor the offer and fight Kell for a “winner takes all” bout or back out and risk being the absolute laughing stock of the whole boxing world. I personally see Amir trying to back off and stall the whole situation by telling Kell he will honor the offer after Kell has fought someone else like Thurman or he will try to delay the fight and tell Brook “we’ll fight next summer.”

Here’s another problem for Amir, if he doesn’t honor this offer and fight Kell, do any of us really expect Mayweather or Pacquiao to take Amir seriously when he calls them out for a fight? I don’t think so.

Khan has backed himself into a corner in the worst possible way this time, there is one way to come out of this with his pride and reputation in tact among boxing followers……Fight Kell Brook in June, at Wembley, Winner Takes All.

Over to you Amir, show us something.
