Will Haye’s Outlandish Tactics Work?

haye565465By Richard Gough: I will approach my articles in a “Fair” and “Non-Biased” way, as is sometimes ignored from other so be called boxing experts and writers.

With Haye on his mission to clean up the Heavyweight division, his first port of call was the supposedly weaker Klitschko brother Wladimir.

Haye-Valuev: David is Looking Kind of Fat and Old

haye54342341By Scott Gilfoid: I sure hope for David Haye’s sake he doesn’t back out of anymore fights in the future and waste more of his career because he’s starting to look a little old to me judging from the recent video interviews of him. Not only that, Haye is starting to look a little fat around the jowls. Look at his face for a second and tell me that he doesn’t look as if he’s carrying around a good coat of fat. I hope he hasn’t been eating too many sweets in the year that he’s been off because he looked kind of fat to me.

Haye-Valuev: Will David shock the world?

By William Mackay: David Haye (22-1, 21 KO’s) will be looking to pull off an upset next month in his title fight against WBA heavyweight champion Nikolay Valuev in Nuremburg, Germany. Although some boxing fans see Haye as beating Valuev, a perhaps bigger portion believe that the 7-foot Valuev’s bigger size and experience will be the telling factors in this fight.

David Haye: Saviour or Failure?

haye343400By Brinsley Bailey: In the past the Heavyweight division was considered by fans and critics alike to be the top draw in boxing. It sparkled with marvelous talent and its champions were real celebrities (recognizable to more than just your average boxing fan). However, over the last 15 years, this division has become a barren wasteland with a lack of credible contenders. Years ago the Heavyweight landscape was viewed as a lake, brimming with talent and potential, but now this lake has become a stagnant pool of inability and disappointment.

Playing the Pick ‘Em Game 2009 Pt. II: Abraham-Taylor, Haye-Valuev, Adamek-Golota

taylor454334By Philip H. Anselmo:

Arthur Abraham vs. Jermain Taylor

Arthur will beat Jermain over 12 decisively. Taylor will gain a personal victory by making it the 12 round distance, but will get out-hustled down the stretch, again. Abraham will open a lot of eyes after this performance. His skill-level must have been forgotten by the majority of Americans who are picking Taylor to win. It wasn’t that long ago that Arthur beat a fresher version of Edison Miranda, twice.

Haye-Valuev: Can David beat Nikolay by Decision?

haye574337By William Mackay: With former cruiserweight champion David Haye (22-1, 21 KO’s), he knocks out almost everyone that he faces. Fighters aren’t able to make it through a full bout with him without being stopped. Only in two cases has Haye been in a fight in which he wasn’t able to stop his opponent, and in one of those fights Haye lost to Carl Thompson. Haye’s knockout record is very impressive and quite stunning.

Can anyone provide the antidote to a lack of competitiveness at heavyweight?

valuev1235By Steven Pink: Boxing needs a healthy heavyweight division. The brazenly declarative nature of this statement does nothing to detract from what is plainly a self-evident truism. For all the excellence of Pacquiao, Cotto, Pavlik, Cabellero and Vazquez it is the sport’s heftiest practitioners that most often captivate boxing’s more casual fans. Seasoned aficionados may prefer the punch filled shootouts of the lighter weight divisions, yet a heavyweight title fight remains, for many, the defining moment in the sporting calendar.
