By Scott Gilfoid: The more I think about this the more I see 43-year-old Glen Johnson (51-17-2, 35 KO’s) busting up Commonwealth super middleweight champion George Groves (15-0, 12 KO’s) and giving him his first taste of defeat on December 15th at the ExCel Arena, Dockland, in London, United Kingdom.
Technically, Groves, 24, is still unbeaten but I felt he definitely lost to James DeGale last year in May in Groves’ controversial 12 round majority decision win. It seems like a lot of Groves’ fans felt that he won the fight, whereas fans with no dog in the hunt saw DeGale was the winner.
