Hearn wants Joshua to face Parker or Klitschko in November

joshua4345

By Scott Gilfoid: Well, I knew it was too good to be true. After WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (36-0, 35 KOs) stepped up to the plate to volunteer to fight IBF heavyweight belt holder Anthony Joshua (17-0, 17 KOs) for his next fight, Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn says he would like to match him against his mandatory challenger #1 IBF Joseph Parker (19-0, 16 KOs) or 40-year-old Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs) next in November.

It’s unclear why Hearn doesn’t want to pull the trigger on the Joshua vs. Wilder fight, but you have to guess that he might have reservations about wanting to throw his golden goose into the deep end of the pool in the shark infested waters where he could wind up getting ripped apart.

Joshua beat the easy to hit fringe contender Dominic Breazeale (17-1, 15 KOs) by a 7th round knockout last Saturday night at the O2 Arena in London, England. Breazeale was just hanging around taking punishment for seven rounds without even trying to throw right hands. It was pretty sad to watch.

Deontay Wilder to Joshua: “Let’s make the fight now!”

deontay75

By Scott Gilfoid: WBC heavyweight champion Deontay “Bronze Bomber” Wilder (36-0, 35 KOs) heard the news last Saturday night of IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua’s 7th round annihilation of American Dominic Breazeale (17-1, 15 KOs), and he says he’s ready to fight Joshua right now.

Deontay says that Joshua (17-0, 17 KOs) should make the fight with him because he’s ready to face him now rather than later like his promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport is talking about.

Joshua dropped Breazeale twice in round seven to get the stoppage. Breazeale, 30, was too hurt to get up after the second knockdown of the round. Breazeale was not happy with the referee attempting to assist him while he was down, as he pushed him away angrily. Referee Howard John Foster stopped the fight officially at 1:01 of the 7th round.

Joshua vs. Breazeale: Anthony plans on mentally breaking Dominic

Joshua-Breazle-Weigh (2)

By Scott Gilfoid: IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (16-0, 16 KOs) has been known to be a pure brawler since his amateur days. He’s continued that trend into the pro ranks in knocking out the vast majority of his opponents inside four rounds. But for tonight’s fight, Joshua wants to beat challenger Dominic Breazeale (17-0, 15 KOs) mentally before stopping him inside the distance in their bout at the O2 Arena in London, UK.

Does this mean that the 26-year-old Joshua will try to actually box Breazeale rather than using his normal approach of steamrolling his over-matched opposition? We’ll have to find out tonight.

Wilder: Joshua vs. Breazeale is 50-50 fight

Image: Wilder: Joshua vs. Breazeale is 50-50 fight

By Scott Gilfoid: Well, it doesn’t look like WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder sees this Saturday’s fight between IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and challenger Dominic Breazeale as a mismatch like many boxing fans and writers do. Joshua is a heavy favorite to defeat the 6’7” Breazeale. However, Deontay sees the contest as a 50-50 fight, because he thinks Breazeale is going to come into the match looking to make a name for himself.

This is Breazeale’s big chance to make a fortune becoming set for life financially if he can beat Joshua, because a win over the British fighter will set up a big money rematch between them. Breazeale could make millions in a rematch.

Joshua vs. Breazeale – Dominic planning to KO Anthony

breazeale666

By Scott Gilfoid: Dominic “Trouble” Breazeale (17-0, 15 KOs) sees himself as the new lion in town and he feels he’s going to come in and beat the lion Anthony Joshua (16-0, 16 KOs) on Saturday night and take his IBF heavyweight title. Breazeale says he’s going to knockout the 26-year-old Joshua, and he’s very confident he’ll be able to do that in their fight at the O2 Arena in London, UK. Breazeale has spent a lot of time looking at Joshua’s past fights, and he’s spotted a number of flaws in his game that he feels he can take advantage of them.

There’s a lot to look at in terms of flaws in Joshua’s game when you see him fight. He tends to bum rush his opponents, and he seems to be too inclined to slug with anyone. That’s a product of him having faced a lot of opposition that didn’t have the talent to make him cautious. In other words, Joshua doesn’t seem to know better yet that he should use some boxing in his fights. He thinks he can steam roll everyone based on being the taller and heavier fighter.

Joshua: I’ve got to put an end to Breazeale’s dreams

joshua8

By Scott Gilfoid: IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (16-0, 16 KOs) has a tough task ahead of him on Saturday night in defending his IBF strap against an equally big 6’7”, 255lbs challenger Dominic Breazeale (17-0, 15 KOs) at the O2 Arena in London, England.

Not only is Breazeale equally big, but he hits about as hard as Joshua. This is a fight where either of these guys can win the fight, although Joshua has to be considered the favorite going in given his hometown advantage. With that said, Breazeale seems to be the more mature of the two, and seems to have a real keen eye with his observations.
