Is Anthony Joshua the No.1 heavyweight on the planet?

joshua1234

By Scott Gilfoid: There are some boxing fans that believe that IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (16-0, 16 KOs) is already the No.1 heavyweight on the planet. They look at the way the 26-year-old Joshua has mowed down his first 16 opponents, and they extrapolate from there to predict that he’ll beat every other heavyweight on the planet. I don’t agree with this kind of thinking.

You can’t accurately predict future outcomes based on a small sample. It makes no sense. Joshua’s promoter Barry Hearn is another one that believes he’s the best fighter on the plant already. Never mind the fact that Joshua still hasn’t faced Deontay Wilder, Luis “The Real King Kong” Ortiz, Tyson Fury, Kubrat Pulev, Joseph Parker, Carlos Takam, Alexander Povetkin, Bryant Jennings, Bermane Stiverne, David Haye or Wladimir Klitschko.

Joshua vs. Breazeale: Dominic to take Anthony into deep waters

1-joshua (1)

By Scott Gilfoid: I hope IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (16-0, 16 KOs) is ready for a long haul fight on Saturday night, because unbeaten American Dominic “Trouble” Breazeale (17-0, 15 KOs) plans on dragging him into the deeper waters and drown him in front of his own fans at the O2 Arena in London, England.

17,000 fans are expected to show up on Saturday night for the Joshua-Breazeale fight, and pretty much all of them will be rooting for Joshua. Yeah, there might be a small handful of Breazeale fans, but not enough for them to be over the roar of the crowd. Breazeale is going to be an island out there surrounded by Joshua fans singing, cheering and maybe even booing depending on the amount of success Breazeale has in the contest.

Fury says Joshua’s opponent Breazeale is “Another knock-over”

joshua567787

By Scott Gilfoid: Tyson Fury doesn’t think too much of IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua’s opponent 2012 U.S Olympian Dominic Breazeale (17-0, 15 KOs), who he’ll be facing this Saturday night on June 25 at the O2 Arena in London, England.

Fury sees the big 6’7” Breazeale as another one of Joshua’s soft touch opponents that is brought over to the UK so that he can bowl them over and look better than he actually is.

Fury doesn’t think it’s helping Joshua to be fighting stiffs one after another instead of talented fighters that can give him rounds and teach him things he’ll need to know when he starts facing the cream of the heavyweight division.

Breazeale: Anthony Joshua is in for a war!

1-Dominic Breazeale_Media Workout_009

By Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten American Dominic “Trouble” Breazeale (17-0, 15 KOs) says he’s going to be in the UK looking to kick some backside on June 25, when he challenges IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (16-0, 16 KOs) at the O2 Arena in London, England. This the 26-year-old Joshua’s maiden title defense of his IBF strap, and it’s one of those situations where anything can go wrong.

First off, Joshua is fighting a guy with more height than him in 6’7” Breazeale, and he’s dealing with a fighter with punching power similar to his own. Breazeale is a knockout artist, and Joshua is a guy that slugs at every opportunity. Joshua hasn’t learned yet that he can’t win every war because all it takes is one punch from a giant heavyweight and it’s over with.

Breazeale talks Joshua fight: “Whoever lands first will win”

1-Dominic Breazeale_Media Workout_011

By Allan Fox: Unbeaten heavyweight Dominic Breazeale (17-0, 15 KOs) is giving himself a good chance of beating IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (16-0, 16 KOs) in their fight on June 25 at the O2 Arena in London, England. Breazeale isn’t too worried about being an underdog in this fight with the oddsmakers.

Breazeale believes that the fight with the 2012 Olympic gold medalist Joshua comes down to whichever guy lands first, and he plans on getting to Joshua first rather than waiting for him to connect with one of his big rights, Joshua’s last opponent Charles Martin waited too long to throw his own punches and got knocked out in the 2nd round last December.

Hearn lists Joshua’s three options for November fight

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1ydDfn_FnE

By Scott Gilfoid: If IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (16-0, 16 KOs) gets past his title defense against unbeaten Dominic Breazeale (17-0, 15 KOs) on June 25, his promoter Eddie Hearn has three options for him for his next fight in November.

Joshua can fight IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, WBC champ Deontay Wilder, or he can fight a voluntary defense against whoever they choose.

Joshua: I want all the belts!

1-JOSHUATRAINING18

By Scott Gilfoid: IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (16-0, 16 KOs) says he wants to capture all of the world titles, and he’s not satisfied with his career as it is right now with him having won only one of the four titles in the division. For Joshua to capture all the belts, he’ll need to defeat the winner of the July 9 fight between IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) and Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 Kos).

Joshua will also need to defeat WBC heavyweight champion Deontay “Bronze Bomber” Wilder (36-0, 35 KOs). That’s not going to be easy because The 6’7” Wilder is taller, faster and a bigger puncher than Joshua. Wilder doesn’t back up against the ropes like most of Joshua’s opponents do.

Anthony Joshua vs. Dominic Breazeale prediction & analysis

joshua88776

By Scott Gilfoid: In less than two weeks, IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (16-0, 16 KOs) will be putting his title and unbeaten record on the line against undefeated #13 IBF challenger Dominic Breazeale (17-0, 15 KOs) on June 25 on Sky Box Office from the O2 Arena in London, England.

Breazeale, 6’7”, was probably been selected because of him being an unbeaten American with 2012 Olympic experience. It’s common knowledge that Joshua recently signed a multi-fight contract with Showtime Boxing in the United States to have his fights televised in that country.

Breazeale: Joshua is muscle-bound

1-Dominic Breazeale_Media Workout_010

By Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten contender Dominic Breazeale (17-0, 15 KOs) says IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (16-0, 16 KOs) is a muscle-bound fighter, and he believes his huge muscles are going to wind up being his downfall when the two of them face each other on June 25 at the O2 Arena in London, UK.

Breazeale notes that fighters with overly muscled physiques tend to struggle over the duration of fights because they’re large muscles require a lot of oxygen to keep them moving.

Breazeale: Klitschko will beat Fury in rematch

1-Dominic Breazeale_Media Workout_009

By Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten American heavyweight Dominic Breazeale (17-0, 15 KOs) doesn’t believe IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) will be able to turn back the threat and beat the 6’6” former world champion Wladimir “Steelhammer” Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs) in their rematch next month on July 9 at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, UK.

Breazeale thinks the 27-year-old Fury doesn’t rate as a legitimate champion, and he sees him folding in the rematch. Breazeale isn’t the only one who expects the 6’9” Fury to lose. There are many boxing fans that see Fury losing the rematch, because he barely beat Klitschko in winning by a 12 round unanimous decision by the following scores: 115-112, 116-111 and 115-112.
