By Dan Ambrose: Paulie Malignaggi thinks he should be the one that is fighting Marcos Maidana (34-3, 31 KO’s) this Saturday night, not WBA welterweight champion Adrien Broner (27-0, 22 KO’s) in their fight at the Alamodome, in San Antonio, Texas, USA. Malignaggi still thinks he was robbed of a decision in his 12 round split decision loss to Broner last June in Brooklyn, New York.
It was a close fight that could have gone either way, but Malignaggi is convinced that he did more than enough to have retained his WBA 147 lb. title, which he lost in that fight. Malignaggi now wants to fight the winner of the Broner-Maidana fight, and he feels that he deserves to fight the winner.
By Allan Fox: WBA welterweight champion Adrien Broner (27-0, 22 KO’s0 will be making his first defense of his title this Saturday on December 14th against #2 WBA Marcos Maidana (34-3, 31 KO’s) in a fight that could tell us a lot about whether Broner has the talent to become a huge star in the sport. If Broner fails this test then he’ll need to go back down to 135 if wants to continue to find success in the sport.
By Dan Ambrose: Former WBA light welterweight champion Marcos Maidana (34-3, 31 KO’s) likes his chances against WBA welterweight champion Adrien Broner (27-0, 22 KO’s) in their fight on December 14th. Maidana sees Broner as being an untested fighter against a real welterweight like himself. Broner has one win at welterweight against Paulie Malignaggi, but that was against a small welterweight who started his career as a light welterweight.
By Dan Ambrose: WBA World welterweight champion Adrien Broner (27-0, 22 KO’s) isn’t too worried about his opponent Marcos Maidana (34-3, 31 KO’s) being a big puncher for their fight in less than two weeks on December 14th at the Alamodome, in San Antonio, Texas, USA. Broner doesn’t care that Maidana has shown good power in his past fights. Broner doubts that Maidana will be in the position to land his big punches because he intends on making him miss all night.
By Mr. Pennington: When Adrien Broner (27 -0-22 kos) said “call me the Can Man because anyone CAN get it, AmeriCANS, Puerto RiCANS, MexiCANS, AfriCANS” I became an instant fan. I felt it was original and unrehearsed, and most of all dam good. I’m the type of fans that appreciates the theatrics that come along with sport, after all those are what create the most memorable moments. Mike Tyson’s Classic outburst “I want to eat his kids” Terrell Owens running to mid field in Dallas after scoring a touchdown standing on the Dallas star.

If they’re going to be testing Maidana’s blood then Broner is going to have to push for the extra testing because this fight doesn’t have extra blood testing setup yet.

It beggars belief that only six weeks before the biggest fight of his life, he is so badly out of shape. Judging by the picture, he looks at least 165lbs. In stark contrast, Maidana looks like a man who means business, and is ready to fight right now.
By Chris Marckesano: Knockout artist Marcos Maidana (31-3) is being given a good chance in the eyes of a lot of boxing fans to knockout rising star Adrien Broner (27-0). Their styles and recent successes make this fight hard to predict but I think that the safe bet is on a unanimous decision in favor of Broner for the following 4 reasons.
