Haye vs. Wladimir on June 20th at Stamford Bridge

haye3445519By Scott Gilfoid: British heavyweight David Haye (22-1, 21 KOs) has finally landed a Klitschko, in this case Wladimir, the IBF/WBO heavyweight champion and considered by many boxing fans to be the best heavyweight on the planet. The fight will take place at the Stamford Bridge, in London on June 20th. Haye, 28, will be making a big step up from the mediocre heavyweight competition that he’s faced thus far in facing Wladimir.

The Klitschko Brothers Need To Forget Valuev and Fight Each Other

wladimir422By Scott Gilfoid: In an article today, World Boxing Council heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko and his brother Wladimir, who holds both the IBF and WBO belts, complained that WBA title holder Nikolay Valuev’s promoters are preventing him from facing them, despite Valuev himself wanting the fight. However, it’s hard not to see why the promoters wouldn’t want the brothers to fight Valuev, because each of the would very likely knock Valuev out and grab his WBA title long with it.

Haye vs. Klitschko Talks Still Ongoing

wladimir323421By Chris Williams: IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and David Haye are still locked in a stalemate, with both stuck on a few issues which are preventing the fight from reaching a deal, according to Sky Sports. The two sides are at the contract part of the negotiations and are undergoing some friction as they jockey back and forth. Adam Booth, Haye’s Manager/trainer, is working on “the core” part of the contract and once this, the most difficult part of the negotiations, there’s only some smaller items that need to be worked out and then the fight is good to go.

Will Wladimir Be Fighting Haye Next?

wladimir1122551By Chris Williams: With Vitali Klitschko now out of the way, tied up with a mandatory defense of his WBC heavyweight crown against Juan Carlos Gomez, this leaves David Haye available to IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko to fight him in his next bout, which should be taking place sometime in the coming months. My hope is that Wladimir can fight Haye by as early as March 21st, the same time that Vitali defends against Gomez.

Which Round Will Wladimir Be Knocking Haye Out?

haye3434441By Jim Dower: The question is no longer whether IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitchscko will be knocking David Haye out, it’s what round. With a history of a glass jaw, which wasn’t helped by Haye’s 5th round knockdown by Monte Barrett in November, Haye, 28, is little better than an inflated cruiserweight with neither the size or the chin for the heavyweight division who instead of testing himself against other quality heavyweights to earn a shot against Wladimir, was propelled, some say unfairly, to what appears to be a title shot against Wladimir in the summer.

Will Haye Retire If He Loses To Wladimir?

wladimir56By Michael Lieberman: With David Haye looking like the one that will be facing Wladimir Klitschko next, I wonder if Haye will retire if he loses? Although most fighters wouldn’t retire after a loss against a great fighter like Wladimir, but for Haye, it would be a major blow to him, especially since he’s been blasting Wladimir in the media for the past few months while trying to get a fight with him. In losing to him, it would leave Haye kind of empty handed with egg on his face.

Will Haye Freeze Under The Spotlights

haye3445518By Jim Dower: Put on the fast track for a heavyweight title against one of the Klitschko brothers, as of now rumored to be Wladimir, former cruiserweight champion David Haye hasn’t had to earn his way to the top like other fighters. This in itself may or may not end up biting him on the backside when he’s put in the ring with one of the 6’6″ Klitschko brothers, but it probably won’t help him much either.

Does Haye Stand a Good Chance of Beating Wladimir?

haye4535462By Sean McDaniel: With the rumor circulating about Vitali Klitschko now to fight his number WBC #1 mandatory Juan Carlos Gomez on March 21st, where, if this all true, does this leave David Haye? The second part of today’s rumor is that Haye will now be fighting Wladimir Klitschko on June 20th in London. Going from the more stationary, sturdier chinned Vitali to a much better mover, faster hands, more athletic Wladimir, who has a much worse chin, does this give Haye a much better chance at winning than he previously was thought to have against Vitali?
