By Chris Williams: Not too many people are giving heavyweight contender Chris Arreola (26-0, 23 KOs) much of a chance at beating IBF/WBO champion Wladimir Klitschko (52-3, 46 KOs) in their rumored bout for the Spring, but unlike some of them, I think that Arreola has a very real chance at beating the 32-year-old Klitschko. Of course, Arreola’s only hope is to try cutting off real estate on Wladimir and force him into a fight rather than allowing him to jab at a distance.

Fights That Should Happen/Need To Happen In 2009
By Simon Hirst:
Joe Calzaghe vs Chad Dawson
First of all, people who have read my article may know I am a British fan, yet I choose skill over nationality and try to be as unbiased in my articles as I can. I would prefer to stick to facts more than opinion, but as it’s an article, I like to get my point across. Now I would want this fight to happen purely because Dawson is up there in the light heavyweights who Calzaghe hasn’t beaten. Personally I think the division is one of the most boring and least competitive divisions, so I can’t blame Dawson for having very little on his record that we can shout about.
Will Wladimir Klitschko Ever Be a Popular Heavyweight?
By William Mackay: Wladimir Klitschko (52-3, 46 KOs) sits a top of the heavyweight division, currently holding both the IBF and WBO heavyweight titles and with a reputation until recently as being the top heavyweight in all of boxing. Yet there’s one problem. Very few fans really care about him enough to want to watch him fight or even discuss him. It seems the problem for that rests with Wladimir, who when he turned professional in 1996 after having won a Gold medal in the 96 Olympics in the Super Heavyweight class, had almost unlimited potential to not only win heavyweight titles but also to build a huge fan base to go along with them.
Tyson – The Heavyweight Division Needs Someone Like Him
By Dan Ambrose: It’s been over three years since former IBF/WBA/WBC heavyweight champion Mike Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) has last fought, but yet there’s been no heavyweight that has come close to matching Tyson’s huge appeal and domination since that time. In his prime, Tyson was unbeatable, stopping excellent fighters like Razor Ruddock, Michael Spinks, Larry Holmes, Andrew Golota, Frank Bruno and many more. When he was in shape and focused, in particular earlier in his career, Tyson may have been the best heavyweight that every lived.
Is Arreola Ready For A Fight Against Klitschko?
By Matt Stein: If the rumor of Wladimir Klitschko (52-3, 46 KOs) potentially facing contender Chris Arreola (26-0, 23 KOs) in May turns out to be true, I wonder if this is a fight that Arreola is in fact ready for at this early stage in his career? Though he’s had 26 fights and beaten all his opponents, his opposition has been very limited at this point, with perhaps Travis Walker, perhaps, his best opponent to date.
Wladimir To Fight Arreola In April? – News
By Eric Thomas: According to Fight News, IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (52-3, 46 KOs) may be fighting American Chris Arreola (26-0, 23 KOs), the number #4 ranked heavyweight in the IBF, in April or possibly May 2008, with the fight likely to take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Wladimir, 32, recently defeated challenger Hasim Rahman by an easy 7th round stoppage on December 13th. Rahman stepped in as a replacement opponent for Wladimir’s #1 mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin (16-0, 12 KOs), who Wladimir was supposed to have fought on October 25th.
Is Haye Ready For The Klitschko Brothers?
By Jim Dower: Far and away one of my most favorite fighters in boxing, heavyweight David Haye (22-1, 21 KOs) is about to step it up against the better class in the heavyweight division in 2009, and we’ll finally find out if he has the tools to succeed in the division. Having jumped ahead of many other more deserving fighters that have scraped and fought their way to the top of the heavyweight division, Haye is going to be given a shot against Vitali Klitschko or possibly Vitali’s brother Wladimir, if somehow the WBC prevents Vitali from sidestepping around his number #1 mandatory challenger Juan Carlos Gomez.

Is Vitali Doing Wladimir a Disservice By Fighting Haye?
Photo by Pavel “Eagle eye” Terehov – By Matt Stein: Wladimir Klitschko must either be the nicest brother you could ever imagine having or else someone gullible, passive and easily walked over. Why else would he allow his older brother, Vitali Klitschko, to leapfrog over him and take on David Haye, a fighter that has for months been pursuing Wladimir with single-minded determination. Now, instead of Wladimir being the one to take on Haye in what will without a doubt be a minor mega-fight, Vitali has stepped up and will be fighting him instead.
Is Wladimir Too Wimpy To Be Champion?
By Chris Williams: photo by Pavel “Eagle eye” Terehov – I don’t know about you, but I thought IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (52-3, 46 KOs) looked like garbage out there in beating Hasim Rahman (45-7-2, 36 KOs) on Saturday night. With Rahman, 36, on the ropes in the 6th round after being knocked down from several left hooks, in classic form, Wladimir jabs and probes at him as if he were trying to deactivate a live bomb. Instead of getting a knockout, Wladimir jabs for the remainder of the round and looks terrified of being hit.
