Tyson Fury faces disciplinary action from British Boxing Board of Control

By Mohamed I: It’s well known amongst anyone that follows Fury that he lives up to that name inside and outside the ring. His antics go from the serene to obscene (sometimes the extreme) in a matter of moments and he does this with the intention of selling his name to the public on his quest for glory however his most recent tirade has landed him in some troubling waters.

Fury: If I can’t smash a journeyman like Chisora to bits, then I’m a journeyman

fury678By Scott Gilfoid: Tyson Fury (22-0, 16 KOs) might be on the verge of finding out his own fate at a heavyweight when he faces Dereck Chisora (20-4, 13 KO’s) this month on July 26th at the Phones 4u Arena in Manchester, UK.

In an enlightening moment, Fury said that he feels that if he can’t beat a journeyman like Chisora then he too must be a journeyman. It’s pretty interesting because the 6’9” Fury might be forced to come to terms with what he is in terms of his own talent and future outlook in the heavyweight division when he battles Chisora. I mean, if Fury can’t blast out Chisora, and if he struggles and loses or if he even just struggles, then that’ll probably be a pretty good indication of where Fury is going.

Fury: I’m willing to bet my entire purse on beating Chisora

furyBy Scott Gilfoid: Dereck Chisora (20-4, 13 KO’s) and Tyson Fury (22-0, 16 KOs) met today in a London press conference to promote their rematch in 12 days on July 26th at the Phones 4u Arena in Manchester, UK. As you would expect, both fighters were in fine form talking trash back and forth. Fury offered to put his purse on the line for the Chisora fight. Obviously that’s not going to happen, but Fury did his best acting job to make it sound believable as he said it.

With less than two weeks to go before their rematch, Chisora and Fury badly need to somehow drum up interest in their fight because there’s very little buzz about the fight for some reason, whether that be because the two guys have already fought before or because some fans don’t see them as relevant heavyweights.

Chisora and Fury will be fighting in a WBO heavyweight eliminator bout with the winner getting a title shot one of these days against WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.

Deontay to Tyson Fury: “I’m going to hurt you bad”

deontay57By Scott Gilfoid: Just to let Tyson Fury (22-0, 16 KO’s) know that he’s out there waiting for him once he finishes running the gauntlet between Dereck Chisora (20-4, 14 KOs) and possibly IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko after that, unbeaten #1 WBC Deontay Wilder (31-0, 31 KO’s) lashed the 6’9” Fury with some of his personal thoughts on his social media site earlier today.

Deontay just wanted to let Fury know what he’s going to do to him once he gets him in the ring if he continues fighting after the Chisora and Klitschko bouts.

Heavyweight action in July/August

fury664By Gav Duthie: Over the course of the next two months boxing fans will get a chance to see no less than 9 hopefuls in action as we prepare for a new era post heavyweight domination of the Klitschko’s. As individuals I have been a big fan of the Ukrainian brothers. They’ve got class, dignity, speak 4 languages and they never trash talk.

It’s not their fault they are better than everyone else. That being said with Vitaly now retired and Wladimir soon to follow (I predict he will go if he wins the WBC) the heavyweight division will take a new shape and create much more interest with dozens of fighters looking to grab a title.

Fury using farm equipment to get ready for Chisora rematch

fury52By Scott Gilfoid: #4 WBO Tyson Fury (22-0, 16 KO’s) has been pushing around tractors and flipping huge tires to get ready for his rematch against #1 WBO Dereck Chisora (20-4, 14 KO’s) in their rematch this month on July 26th at the Phones 4u Arena in Manchester, UK.

The Chisora-Fury II fight was given the green light as a WBO heavyweight eliminator bout despite the fact that there are other guys ranked ahead of Fury by the WBO in Andy Ruiz and Deontay Wilder.

Fury is going to need to be careful with his pushing of tractors and lifting of tires, because the last thing he needs is to blow out his back. I mean, lifting a tire is potentially a dangerous thing unless you have a history of weight lifting. Judging by Fury’s physique, my guess is he’s not been a huge weight lifter during his lifetime, and it’s probably not a good idea for him to start this close to an important fight.

Fury sounding overly confident for Chisora fight

fury689By Scott Gilfoid: Tyson Fury (22-0, 16 KO’s) is talking like he can walk on water as he gets ready for WBO heavyweight eliminator bout against #1 WBO Dereck Chisora (20-4, 13 KO’s) on July 26th at the Phones 4u Arena in Manchester, Lancashire, United Kingdom. The winner of the Fury-Chisora match-up will be the mandatory challenger to WBO champ Wladimir Klitschko.

Fury said on his twitter, “Any promoters out there who fancy @dellboychisora to beat me I’m talking all side bets? Up to 500k??”

Chisora: I’m going to chop Fury down like a tree

fury4By Scott Gilfoid: After having faced 5 soft opponents in his last 5 fights to get to this WBO heavyweight eliminator, Dereck Chisora (20-4, 13 KO’s) feels he’s going to KO Tyson Fury (22-0, 16 KO’s) next month on 7/26 in Manchester, UK. Chisora says he’s going to go after the 6’9” Fury and work him over on the inside to prevent him from using his long reach like he did the last time they fought each other several years ago.

Chisora looked pretty helpless in that fight, and was never competitive even for an instant. Why the two fighters are facing each other again is anyone’s guess. Fury beat Chisora like a drum in 2011, and when you get beat like that, normally you don’t have rematches.

Wach: Chisora defeats Tyson Fury

chisora5645By Scott Gilfoid: For what it’s worth, 6’8” former world title challenger turned sparring partner Mariusz Wach is picking #1 WBO, #3 IBF, #12 WBA Dereck Chisora (20-4, 13 KO’s) to defeat #4 WBO, #7 IBF, #10 WBC, #14 WBA Tyson Fury (22-0, 16 KO’s) in their rematch next month on July 26th at the Phones 4u Arena, in Manchester, United Kingdom.

Wach just got with Chisora yesterday, so it’s kind of hard to understand how he can form any kind of opinion on the Chisora-Fury rematch.

Wach, 34, hasn’t fought since losing to IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko two years ago by a 12 round unanimous decision.
