By Scott Gilfoid: WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker (22-0, 18 KOs) will be looking to take the scalp of his young 22-year-old challenger Hughie Fury (20-0, 10 KOs) on May 6 next month, and then possibly Tyson Fury afterwards if he comes sniffing about on the revenge trail. Parker, 25, would like nothing better than to bag both of the Fury’s to add them to his resume of fine pelts. But first things first, Parker needs to whip the 6’6” Hughie in order to get Tyson worked enough to where he’ll want to get up off the couch, lose some weight, and finally get back into the ring to end his long 2-year layoff from boxing.

By Scott Gilfoid: Former heavyweight world title challenger Manuel Charr and Tyson Fury were involved in a slightly heated discussion on Sunday in Cologne, Germany at the fitness expo FIBO. Charr, 32, challenged the overweight Fury to a fight. The 6’3” Charr got right up to the face of the 6’9” Fury. It looked very theatrical. Afterwards, Fury posted a photo of him and Charr standing side by side, smiling like they were best of friends.

By Dan Ambrose: Frank Warren, the promoter for WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders, says the negotiations with IBF/IBO/WBA/WBC middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin are presently up in the air due in part to the Kazakhstan fighter being injured. Golovkin’s injury is holding up him signing the contract for the Saunders fight. Some boxing fans might believe that this is a stalling tactic by Golovkin and his team to give them more time to negotiate a fight against Saul Canelo Alvarez. Team Golovkin should already know by now whether they’ll be able to get a fight against Canelo in September.

Tyson Fury looking VERY heavy

By Scott Gilfoid: In photos and video of Tyson Fury taken from last Friday night, he’s looking very heavy with a lot of weight to lose. Fury said he was 350 pounds a couple of weeks ago, and I don’t think he was kidding. He’s looks huge right now with the kind of weight that is going to be hard for him to take off. Honestly, I don’t think Fury has lost any weight at all. He looks like he’s near 400 lbs. in the photos. The above video doesn’t show Fury’s midsection, but he’s looks very, very fat. It’s shocking how heavy Fury looks.

By Scott Gilfoid: Tony Bellew is looking to take advantage of his important win over an injured heavyweight David Haye last Saturday night by getting a big fight. Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is a fight that the 34-year-old Bellew would be interested in accepting. Peter Fury said this week that he’d be interested in a fight between Tyson Fury and Bellew. The one problem that would hold back the fight from happening is Fury not having a boxing license.

By Scott Gilfoid: Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury took to Twitter last Monday to say that he’ll be resuming his career on May 13, but it looks like the 28-year-old spoke too soon. According to the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC), Fury is still under suspension and he’s not about to get his license to fight back anytime soon. Fury has an anti-doping hearing that he needs to get out of the way before the BBBoC will consider giving him back his license.
