By Scott Gilfoid: In photos and video of Tyson Fury taken from last Friday night, he’s looking very heavy with a lot of weight to lose. Fury said he was 350 pounds a couple of weeks ago, and I don’t think he was kidding. He’s looks huge right now with the kind of weight that is going to be hard for him to take off. Honestly, I don’t think Fury has lost any weight at all. He looks like he’s near 400 lbs. in the photos. The above video doesn’t show Fury’s midsection, but he’s looks very, very fat. It’s shocking how heavy Fury looks.

Fury, 29, wants to make a comeback to boxing and reclaim his heavyweight world titles, but I’m not sure that he can do it. Judging from how fat he looks, it’s doing to be extremely difficult to take all that weight off so that he can eventually challenge one of the heavyweight world champions.

“Another great morning in the gym, feeling great,” said Fury on his Twitter this week. “Working really hard. Being fat is great, as you have something to aim for and can see results,” said Fury.

It’s hard to believe how much weight Fury has gained in just 2 years. He really let himself get out of shape in a dramatic way. It’s good news that Fury is returning to the ring if only to give him a reason to start taking care of his health. Fury needs to make some lifestyle changes in his life in terms of his eating and exercising if he wants to keep from ballooning up in weight when he retires from boxing one day. It’s not smart to be letting yourself go like Fury has and gaining a massive amount of weight.

Fury might be able to take the weight off eventually, but it’s going to be hard for him to find the form he showed in beating Wladimir Klitschko in his last fight in 2015. When you have to lose the kind of weight that Fury is going to need to lose, it’s going to be all but impossible for him to do it. I don’t think he can. I mean, Fury will be able to take enough weight off to get a big money fight against Anthony Joshua or Wladimir Klitschko.

There’s no question he’ll be able to do that. A big payday fight is a given for Fury. If that’s the goal for Fury, to get a big payday, then he’s got it made, because he’ll get that. But in terms of Fury being able to fight at a high level anymore, I don’t see Fury being able to get back to where he was in the past.

Putting on the kind of weight that Fury has packed on in the last 2 years is very hard on the body, especially losing that weight. If Fury would lose the weight over a slow 2-year period, I would give him a better chance of having a successful comeback, but he’s not doing that. Fury is taking the weight off quickly, and I think he’ll wind up as a skinny fat man when he does return to the ring.
