By Dan Ambrose: WBC junior middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez will be back in the ring on May 4th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada but it won’t be against his desired opponent Floyd Mayweather Jr, because he’s going to be facing Robert “The Ghost”Guerrero in the main event on that card.
Alvarez will be the co-main event against an opponent still to be determined. Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer says that this could be the biggest pay per view fight in the history of the sport, meaning that he must have someone really good that he’ll be matching Canelo with because it’ll take more than just putting Canelo on the undercard against some unknown fighter for the card to break records.
