By Jason Kim: International Boxing Organization cruiserweight champion Danny Green (27-3, 24 KO’s) is promising to knock boxing great Roy Jones Jr. (54-5, 40 KO’s) out this Wednesday evening in their title bout at the Acer Arena, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Jones, 40, will be stepping up to the cruiserweight division for the bout, and there’s no telling how well he’ll do at this weight.

Could the Bernard Hopkins-Roy Jones Jr fight be more significant than first thought?
By Liam Fitzgerald: Providing that they come through their respective fights next Wednesday unscathed, we will be witnessing a rematch between Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr early in 2010. Their first bout took place amazingly 16 years ago but both men are completely different fighters now and have been through a lot since then. Jones Jr comfortably won that first encounter by a unanimous decision as his lightning quick combinations proved far too classy for Hopkins to deal with. However, as I said, that was a very long time ago and both men are approaching the end of their careers now.
He does it his way!! – Roy Jones Jr.
By Davey Jackson: “Roy Jones ain’t fit to carry my gym bag. I don’t like him. I don’t like nobody…” so spoke James Toney prior to their 1994 super middleweight bout. Roy Jones Junior was dressed for the ball. Black bow tie and tuxedo jacket. Jones casually and confidently made his ring entrance with the look in his eye that suggested he had not been listening to the experts, whose words dripped in the nullification of his talents. Toney, like Mike Tyson, was the badman who spouted malevolence at every opportunity, a product of a fatherless upbringing in the excluding slums of the city streets.
Jones-Hopkins ll: Say It Ain’t So
By Kevin Pasquale: Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, Roy Jones Jr. ruled the boxing landscape with impunity. His once-in-a-lifetime speed and athleticism, coupled with his amazing boxing instincts, rendered him untouchable by other fighters, regardless of whatever weight class he decided to fight in at the time.
Green sees himself Stopping Roy Jones Jr.
By Sean McDaniel: International Boxing Organization cruiserweight champion Danny Green (27-3, 24 KO’s) says he sees himself stopping Roy Jones Jr. (54-5, 40 KO’s) before the 12th round when they meet on December 2nd at the Acer Arena, in Sydney, Australia. Green, 36, who previously held the WBA light heavyweight title in 2007 before retiring, is looking to take out the 40-year-old Jones and in the process enhancing his own reputation with the victory.
Roy Jones Jr. Could Blow Chance for Hopkins Bout by Facing Green
By Sean McDaniel: 40-year-old Roy Jones Jr. could ruin his chance for a big money payday in a rematch with Bernard Hopkins if Roy can’t get by his next opponent Australian Danny Green on December 2nd. In hindsight, it might end up being a costly mistake for Jones because Green, a former light heavyweight champion, is still fighting quite effectively and is a very tough opponent for Jones to be taking at this stage in his career.
Hopkins – Jones is signed for 2010 – News
By Liam Santiago: It might be fifth ten years too late, but finally, Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones Jnr have finally agreed to fight in early 2010, providing Roy Jones beats Danny Green on December 2nd in their scheduled boxing event in Sydney, Australia. Although both fighters are past their prime, this is not a pointless fight, they are both still doing very well and, personally, I can’t wait. A 50-50 split is in place for the bout, however, if a knock out occurs then the loser will take a 40% split with the winner taking 60%.
Jones vs. Hopkins in February? – News
By Jim Dower: Roy Jones Jr. (54-5, 40 KO’s) could be facing Bernard Hopkins (49-5-1, 32 KO’s) in rematch in February according to an interview by the 40-year-old Jones at Fight hype. Jones and Hopkins have come to an agreement of a 50-50 purse split for a February 2010 bout. Previously, Hopkins said that he wasn’t interested in fighting Jones unless Roy was willing to take a 40% purse split while he, Hopkins, would take the larger 60% cut.
News – Valero Denied work Visa; Green vs. Jones signed; Sylvester vs. Lorenzo on Sat.
By Erik Schmidt: Unbeaten World Boxing Council lightweight champion Edwin Valero (25-0, 25 KO’s) got some bad news yesterday when it was discovered that his work visa was denied for his November 14th fight against Humberto Soto, according to Fight News. This is really bad for Valero, because he would have had the chance to fight on the undercard of the Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto fight at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas.
