Froch vs. Kessler 2: Carl could lose even worse this time

froch922By Scott Gilfoid: The timing of the rematch between IBF super middleweight champion Carl Froch (30-2, 22 KO’s) and Mikkel Kessler (46-2, 35 KO’s) isn’t good for the 35-year-old Froch in his May 25th fight against the Dane at the O2 Arena in London, UK.

It would have been much better for Froch to be facing Kessler immediately after Froch’s defeat at the hands of WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward in December 2011, because Froch has had two easy fights since then and he’s now under the crazy belief that he can beat Kessler by throwing lots of punches in combinations.

Froch believes his combination punching will KO Kessler

kessler43By Scott Gilfoid: IBF super middleweight champion Carl Froch (30-2, 22 KO’s) thinks he’s come up with the game plans of all game plans to beat WBA super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler (46-2, 35 KO’s) in their rematch on May 25th at the O2 Arena in London, UK.

So what is Froch’s genius of a plan? It’s simple. All Froch is going to do is use the same blueprint that he used to defeat Lucian Bute last year by standing directly in front of Kessler and throwing 12 punch combinations. In Froch’s mind, this is the surefire way to beat the Dane once for all.

Froch: I’m gunning for Kessler

froch12By Dan Henderson: Today I will take a look at the upcoming rematch between IBF super middleweight champion Carl ‘The Cobra’ Froch and WBA strap holder Mikkel Kessler. Froch dropped a close points decision to Kessler back in 2010 in Denmark whilst both fighters were participating in the Super Six boxing tournament and ever since then Froch has been itching to avenge the defeat and finally he’ll have his opportunity when they both meet in a highly anticipated rematch on May 25th at o2 Arena, London.

Froch was speaking today to SkySports and this is what he had to say, “I’ve lost to him and I need to beat him, he’s in trouble. I’m gunning for him and I’ll be looking for the stoppage. I wasn’t 100 per cent and I still nearly beat him. Now, I’m on the crest of a wave.

Froch still making excuses about his loss to Kessler

froch11By Scott Gilfoid: It’s three years later and IBF super middleweight champion Carl Froch (30-2, 22 KO’s) is still bellyaching about his 12 round unanimous decision loss to Mikkel Kessler (46-2, 35 KO’s) from April 2010 in the Super Six tournament. Froch has seemingly never been able to come to terms with that loss, and he just can’t admit that he lost to the more talented fighter without putting the blame on some other factor.

Froch said to Sky Sports “I wasn’t 100 per cent and I still nearly beat him. Now, I’m on the crest of a wave…I was ill-prepared last time, my flight was delayed because of the ash cloud. I’ll be ready this time, more than ready, and he won’t be able to cope.”

Froch: Kessler and I are the two best super middleweights in the world

YouTube video
By Scott Gilfoid: IBF super middleweight champion Carl Froch (30-2, 22 KO’s) has been pining away for a rematch with WBA super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler (46-2, 35 KO’s) ever since he got whipped by him three years ago in the Super Six tournament in April 2010.

After hounding Kessler for the rematch, Froch was able to finally get the rematch scheduled for May 25th at the O2 Arena, in London, United Kingdom. Since his fight with Kessler, Froch has been beaten by WBA/WBC super middleweight champion Andre Ward by a fairly lopsided 12 round decision in December 2011.

Kessler: I see a lot of flaws in Froch’s fighting style

kessler4323By Scott Gilfoid: WBA super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler (46-2, 35 KO’s) says he’s spotted some major flaws in IBF super middleweight champion Carl Froch’s fighting style in his last two fights that he plans on taking full advantage of when he faces him on May 25th at the O2 Arena (Millenium Dome), Greenwich, London, United Kingdom.

Kessler said to Sky Sports “I see a lot of flaws in Carl’s [recent] fights, and I’m going to take advantage of it.”

Froch: Kessler can’t stand in front of me; I’m genetically gifted

ward56344By Scott Gilfoid: IBF super middleweight champion Carl Froch (30-2, 22 KO’s) battles WBA super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler (46-2, 35 KO’s) in a little over two month on May 25th in London.

Last time Froch and Kessler fought three years ago, Kessler was simply too much for Froch when the two fighters went toe-to-toe, but this time Froch believes that Kessler can’t stand in front of him without getting hurt.

Froch believes this because he’s won his last two fights against Lucian Bute and Yusaf Mack, and neither of which did well when they made the mistake of standing in front of Froch.

Groves thinks he’ll get the Froch-Kessler 2 winner

groves1By Scott Gilfoid: With Commonwealth super middleweight champion George Groves (16-0, 12 KO’s) signing with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Sport this week, Groves now thinks he has a good chance to fight the winner of the May 25th unification fight between IBF super middleweight champion and WBA champion Mikkel Kessler.

Groves, WBO, #3 WBA, #6 WBC, #7 IBF, said to Sky Sports News “Signing with Matchroom, I’m a step closer to maybe fighting the winner of Froch vs Kessler.”

Groves shouldn’t get his hopes up to face the Froch-Kessler winner because that simply isn’t going to happen. Let’s put it this way; Kessler is likely going to beat Froch again, and there is no way that Kessler will waste time fighting someone like Groves because he doesn’t have a fan base.

Froch-Kessler 2: Carl’s confidence sky-high for May 25th rematch in London

froch45342By Scott Gilfoid: IBF super middleweight champion Carl Froch (30-2, 22 KO’s) is going into his May 25th rematch with WBA champion Mikkel Kessler (46-2, 35 KO’s) riding a two-fight win streak that might well be a 20 fight win streak because the two victories seem to have taken Froch leave from his senses as it’s made him way too confident for what he’s actually accomplished in the ring.

Froch beat an unproven IBF champion Lucian Bute, and light heavyweight fringe contender Yusaf Mack. It’s not as if Froch went out there and schooled Andre Dirrell and Andre Ward in back to back fights. We’re talking about lesser talents than Dirrell and Ward, both of which dominated Froch, although Dirrell wasn’t given the decision in his fight with Froch.
