Unfortunately, his chances of getting a title shot against WBO champ Manny Pacquiao are nonexistent and will likely remain that way for good. None the less, the 24-year-old Brook is now targeting contender Matthew Hatton (41-5-2, 16 KO’s), who he hopes will accept his challenge for a fight.

It was a spirited effort but he was no match for the young warrior. I hope that Hatton can now move on and try to win domestic honours to earn another title shot before his age becomes a factor.

The fight brought in 1.4 million viewers, which turned out to be the best ‘BAD’ main event for HBO in two years since the James Kirkland vs. Joel Julio bout in March 2009.

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer is looking at matching the 29-year-old Hatton against the winner of that fight, according to boxing news from the Daily Mail.
