What will Manny Pacquiao do next?

By Daniel Tagg: After another masterful performance from Manny Pacquiao on Saturday night in his one-sided 12 round unanimous decision win over Antonio Margarito, who will be his next opponent if any? Manny’s congressional duties will probably increase from here on, and he has not really got any worthy opponents left to fight at light welterweight or most likely welterweight. sSo this leaves us with the thought Pacquiao mayl retire.

Mayweather and Pacquaio, Stop Ducking Each Other!

By Ricky Hale: After Manny Pacquaio’s one sided demolition of Antonio Margarito and Floyd Mayweather’s equally impressive showing against Shane Mosley there is surely nowhere else for these two fighters to go. There has been talk about both stepping up to light middle weight (last night’s fight was not credible at 150) – however I believe this would be a step to far for both men. The two credible light middleweight champions – Martinez and Williams would, in my opinion be a step too far for either men. Not so much because of their respective abilities, but for their sheer size. Pacquaio and Mayweather would both struggle against these two.

Pacquiao Master Class too much for brave Antonio Margarito

Image: Pacquiao Master Class too much for brave Antonio MargaritoBy Gari Jones: It was a fight too remember as Manny Pacquiao (W52 (KO38) L3 (2 by KO) D2) put on a master class display too outpoint a brave and determined Antonio Margarito (W38 (KO27) L7 (1 by KO) D0), fighting for the vacant WBC Light Middleweight Title, not too many people could’ve have predicted that Pacquiao would be so devastating against a man who was naturally a Light Middleweight and being bigger and heavier than he was.

Pacquiao defeats Margarito, captures 8th world title

By Chris Williams: Using a catch-weight of 150 pounds instead of the full weight of 154 pounds for the junior middleweight division, Manny Pacquiao defeated a very tired and weak looking Antonio Margarito on Saturday night to capture the vacant WBC junior middleweight title at the Cowboys stadium, in Arlington, Texas. At the same time, Pacquiao won his 8th world title in as many divisions with the last two titles coming with the assistance of a catch-weight handicap to help Pacquiao against bigger fighters. Margarito looked tired after the third round tonight, and seemed weaker than usual for some reason.

Pacquiao decisions Margarito

By Dan Ambrose: Manny Pacquiao defeated Antonio Margarito by a 12 round unanimous decision tonight to capture the vacant junior middleweight title at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Pacquiao’s work rate and speed was simply too much for Margarito, and he ended up losing by a fairly lopsided decision. It was competitive for the most part, but Margarito really wore down in the last four rounds and seemed a little weight drained from the struggle to squeeze down to make the 150 pound catch-weight that Pacquiao’s team insisted on for this fight. The final judges’ scores were 119-109, 120-108 and 118-110.

Boxing: A lifelong passion that is testing me to the limit

By Eughine Dunnion: With the farce of a Heavyweight title fight that was Haye v Harrison and the underwhelming undercard on the Pacquiao v Margarito bill, it is high time that boxing pulls out all the stops and repays it fans sometimes blind faith in the sweet science. Now this is not a knee jerk reaction of the Saturday night and Sunday morning (GMT) title fights of the before mentioned fighters but a multitude of factors over the last couple of years.

Hoping Pacquiao gets knocked cold by Margarito

By Chris Williams: I’m really hoping Manny Pacquiao gets knocked out tonight by Antonio Margarito. I don’t want Margarito to merely pound on Pacquiao for 12 rounds, because I honestly don’t think Margarito can win a decision over the Filipino fighter unless Margarito knocked Pacquiao down at least 4 times in the fight in separate rounds.

Khan picks Pacquiao to stop Margarito with a flurry of shots

By Dan Ambrose: World Boxing Association (WBA) light welterweight champion Amir Khan is picking Manny Pacquiao (51-3-2, 38 KO’s) to stop Antonio Margarito (38-6, 27 KO’s) tonight when they meet at the Cowboys Stadium. Khan, who trains with Pacquiao and shares the same trainer as him with Freddie Roach, sees Pacquiao as being too fast for the slower, bigger Margarito. Speaking to Reuters, Khan said “I was quite surprised to see his weight at 144.6 pounds. But the power he hits with, it’s easy for him to hurt anyone. Manny’s going to use his footwork and speed, move in and out, and he’s going to plaster him with so many shots that the referee’s going to jump in and say no more.”

And you know what? That record will never be broken. I’m going to be in the history books with Manny Pacquiao for the rest of my life.”
