All Broner does is run and hold, says Molina

broner921By Allan Fox: John Molina, who is no strange to Adrien Broner (30-2, 22 KOs), says all Broner did in his fight last Saturday night against Shawn Porter (26-1-1, 16 KOs) was hold and run. He was surprised then that Broner came up empty in losing a 12 round decision to Porter.

Molina felt that referee Tony Weeks should have taken points off from Broner earlier in the fight due to the constant holding he was doing in the fight. Indeed, Broner wasn’t just occasionally holding. He was holding each time Porter came inside looking to land shots and he felt that it was a strategy that Broner was using in order to keep Porter from being able to fight his game.

Molina went on to say that Broner did the same kind of holding in their fight, but instead of the referee Robert Byrd doing something about the holding, he wound up warning Molina for coming forward with his head down.

Broner: Mayweather said he was motivated after watching me fight Molina

broner123By Chris Williams: After his impressive performance last Saturday night in whipping John Molina (27-6, 22 KOs) on NBC in the Premier Boxing Champions card at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, Adrien Broner (30-1, 22 KOs) says that he spoke with superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr, who told him he was motivated by his performance against the hard hitting Molina.

Broner’s performance was one of the best of his career with the way he totally handcuffed the hard-hitting Molina with his defensive skills, and had him hitting air all night long.

Molina was so unnerved by the things Broner was doing in the ring that Molina almost completely stopped trying to throw punches after the first four rounds.

Is Adrien Broner destined to fail again?

broner456By DA: If you watched Premiere Boxing Champions on NBC last night from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, you’ll have noticed that former three division world champion Adrien Broner (30-1, 22 KOs) looked good fighting a totally shot looking and gun-shy John Molina in beating him by a one-sided 12 round unanimous decision. I already hear people claiming the fight may have been fixed or Molina took a dive etc etc.

People forget the 32-year-old Molina is coming off two brutal wars with Lucas Matthysse and Humberto Soto, both whom dropped Molina and beat him to a pulp. Not to mention John Molina has also been knocked out by Antonio Demarco in the first round a few years ago.

Broner blames his loss to Maidana on ‘fighting for the crowd’

broner44442222By Dan Ambrose: If you had the chance to catch former three division world champion Adrien Broner’s post-fight interview last night after his victory over a very timid-looking John Molina (27-6, 22 KOs), you’ll have noticed that Broner blamed his 2013 defeat at the hands of Marcos Maidana on Broner fighting for the crowd.

In other words, the only reason why Broner lost to Maidana was because he was trying to make it exciting for the crowd rather than him simply looking to fight smart and get a victory anyway possible.
