By William Mackay: If you watched Amir Khan fall apart in his fight against Lamont Peterson last Saturday night the last thing you would think about is Khan deserving a fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. next year. But that’s what Khan still has for one of his goals for 2012. He sees the Peterson loss nothing more than a small bump in the road and not something that will prevent him from getting the Mayweather fight next year.

Robert Guerrero insists he should be the next one to face Mayweather
By Dan Ambrose: Former two division world champion Robert Guerrero (29-1-1, 18 KO’s) believes he should be the one that gets picked for Floyd Mayweather Jr’s next fight in May next year. Perhaps Guerrero might have a better case for getting a fight with Mayweather if he wasn’t coming off major injury involving his left rotator cuff, which he tore up earlier this year while getting ready for a fight against Marcos Maidana.
Khan: Instead of fighting Mayweather in 2012, I’ll fight him in 2013
By William Mackay: Former IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan figures his loss to Lamont Peterson last weekend threw off his schedule for a mega fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. by only one year.
Instead of moving up to the welterweight division now after his loss to Lamont Peterson last weekend, Khan will be facing Peterson in a rematch in what Khan hopes will take place on March 31st at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, Khan wants to move up in weight after the rematch.
Will Khan still move up to welterweight now to pester Mayweather for a fight?
By Scott Gilfoid: I almost died laughing at how inept Amir Khan (26-2, 18 KO’s) looked tonight in getting beaten up and put on the run by Lamont Peterson (30-1-1, 15 KO’s) in losing a 12 round split decision in Washington, DC. Khan couldn’t handle the pressure, and resorted to his usual fouling tricks to try and save his hide.
Lamont Peterson exposes Amir Khan, takes his titles, spoils the Mayweather dream fight
By William Mackay: Right about now I can imagine Golden Boy Promotions head honchos are drowning their sorrows in misery after their golden goose former IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (26-2, 18 KO’s) lost by a 12 round split decision to challenger Lamont Peterson (30-1-1, 15 KO’s) at the Convention Center in Washington, DC.
De La Hoya: I’d be happy to match Khan against Mayweather next May
By William Mackay: Promoter Oscar De La Hoya is already to put his budding star Amir Khan in with Floyd Mayweather Jr. in early 2012 depending on how well Khan does against challenger Lamont Peterson on Saturday in Washington, DC. Khan plans on moving up in weight after this fight to seek out bigger fights at welterweight and his goal is to face Mayweather and be the one that hands him his first loss of his career.
Roach: Pacquiao would take advantage of Mayweather’s flaws
By Chris Williams: Right now a fight next year between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao is up in the air. Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum is supposedly in negotiations with the help of outside investors, but Mayweather himself still says there are no negotiations taking place and sees it as a bunch of a hot air coming from Arum.
Roach says Mayweather has flaws that can be exploited
Smoke N Mirrors Starring Bob Arum – Comedy
By Robert Elmore: Bob Arum turns around in his seat while stroking a white cat with his left hand which has a black glove on it. Alex Ariza stands before him while straightening the collar on his red silk shirt. “So what do you want me to do boss”? Ariza asked. Arum grins. Go to Mayweather’s gym and discuss a possible fight with the undefeated fighter.
